This hotel is in a overall good location. In down town Cancun with plenty of shops and restaurants with in walking distance. The hotel does seem a lot nicer and bigger online but for the price you pay its a good deal. The daily drop off and pick up shuttle is a GREAT plus!! Dropping you off in hotel tourist zone right by the beach. plus you get to use the pool there near the beach at one of their sister locations. Over all a good hotel pick.

Excellent choice for a bypass night

If you're arriving at night to Cancun with a big party don't throw your money in an all inclusive. Stay in the Ramada, located in the center of Cancun City and then depart in the next day early in the morning to your all inclusive hotel. The Ramada Cancun City has a great value/comfort price.

Good value

Stayed a week and found the hotel perfect for our needs. Easy access to bus station, market 28, restaurants, etc...We did lots of day trips to ruins and immersed ourselves in the local culture which was easy from this hotel.

Great location for surgical patients at Victoria Clinin

I recently had surgery at Victoria Clinic in Cancun. I booked the Ramada as it was closest to the hospital for my traveling companion. The hotel was perfect for our needs. Immaculate cleanliness, a great restaurant and a quiet, safe area.

Slightly decieving ad - but ok

For those traveling to Cancun for the first time, this was not the most ideal location to stay in. It is not on the HOTEL ZONE, which is where most foreigners stay and where most of the beaches, shopping, and activity is. Instead, this hotel is located in downtown Cancun away from the hustle of the main streets in a less active area surronded by hostels. It is a nice hotel and once we realized that we could walk around without being worried for our safety, we did enjoy the authentic resturants, nice open parks where most of the natives gather, and close proximity to the bus station which is how we got back and forth from this hotel to the HOTEL ZONE (bus is $2, while a taxi costs $10 to get back and forth-so if your not comfortable using public transit-again, prob not a good location for you). The hotel itself is fine (our room was spacious, clean, and faced the street), the food is decent in the downstairs resturant (prices are a bit high), and the staff was helpful in getting us a deal on a boat tour. Overall, we would visit Cancun again, but likely would want to stay closer to the beach. There is NO SHUTTLE TO THE AIRPORT (so you will end up paying to get back and forth), and the shuttle to the beach leaves only in the morning (so again you are going to have to find a way to get around, unless you can corrdinate your schedule with theirs. Hope this helps!!!

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Take the tour to Isla Las Mujeras (Island of Women -On the Lupita ship) which the front desk set up for us. We got to go snorkling, shopping on the island, have a mexican buffet, and ride along the coast, with drinks included for $50/person. WEll WORTH IT!!

Good Resting Place

I was very much impressed with the size of the room when I first got inside. Room was clean but has neither ice box nor coffee maker. It could have been much better with those self-help stuffs. Since I was not interested in getting tan on the beach, the location didn't really matter, but for those who wish to see the beach this is not the place. I strongly recommend this hotel for those who are interested in night life(cf.good restaurants and night clubs etc.)and other archiological features of Cancun such as Mayan pyramids.

close to downtown

The room was comfortable enough but the bellboy did not tell me how to operate anything. The tv reception was terrible. The floor was cool tiles but the maid did not mop everyday so it got dirty fast. Night life is the life next to this place. Many, many places to go to if you are into that.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

If you want to stay in and relax the pool is right next to the resturant. Swim, eat, get brown!! If you want the night life this place is next to a lot of those.
