Great getaway
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 4 nights. The food was great, room service was very fast, and it wasn't that crowded. The hotel is close to the airport from the strip so we were the first to be dropped off on the shuttle which was nice, but it is further down from the clubs if that is what you are looking for! The only peeve we had was the dress code for dinner one night. My boyfriend was in a dress shirt and jeans, which they wouldn't allow us to be seated but we saw people in there dressed worse. Overall, we had a great time!

Wonderful family vacation
It is a short ride from airport. Upon arrival our bags were lifted from our arms and we were told that we are on vacation.. And to let them take care of everything. Some drawbacks of this trip was that we were told that there was corona and there was not. Also at one of the a la carte restaurants called da Vinci there are no kids allowed, which we were also told there was an early seating which they were. Also, we had to stay in double bed the first night when requested a king but the manager took care of it on the next night and upgraded us to ocean view free of charge. So everything worked out there were plenty of other wonderful restaurants to eat at. La Palermo was nice and fast since it was buffet style and they had a mimosa and Bloody Mary bar set up. The surf and turf sushi at the sushi bar was to die for, and restaurant deva was very very good, I suggest to try the fried ice cream. The staff that waited on you at this hotel were absolutely amazing always had a smile on and some even called us by name every day. And although it was all inclusive and supposedly No tipping is normal. we tipped everyonr, and drinks came when we didnt even ask... service just got a little faster we noticed, and we couldnt believe the amount of people that dont tip... these people work so so hard. Although the beach is rough due to wear the location of the hotel was there are many pools which our one year old enjoyed much more. There were amazing free shows most nights at our hotel and activities throughout the day. Overall wonderful trip, great for children, and would def come back to the Omni.

Money-saving tip:
Not Applicable
Take the bus!! Always bargain!! And ignore the people in airport trying to get you a good deal on tickets for a show or activity... They are really trying to make you go sit at a timeshare presentation that takes up your whole day and is priced too high!

Skip Viva La Mexico
Viva a Mexico Restaurant
The only issue I have with the Omni is the fact that the restuarant "Viva La Mexico" serves food on plates with plastic bags on them. They don't wash the plates. This is not acceptable for a 5 star resort. If you steer clear of that restaurant then you should be fine.

Easter Break 2013
Spring Break 2013
This was our third trip to Cancun and our first time staying at the Omni Hotel. We had the all inclusive package. I would highly recommend this hotel. Service was outstanding. The Hotel was at full capacity but never did it feel crowed and we never had to wait for anything. They had so many workers keeping the place clean and service moving. The refrigerator in the room was stocked very day with beer, coke, diet coke, juice, bottle water. Room service was quick less than 30 minutes and we used it every night for late night snacks. Even though this was our family spring break this is not the crazy spring break hotel. Beach location was just great. Lifeguard stationed right on the beach. We are a family of four two adults and two children 14 & 17. The only items I would mention are the following: 1.The workers in the lobby with the blue shirts and name tags are there to sell you vacation club memberships. If interested they will take you on a 2 hour tour if not interested just tell them up front so they don’t bother you. 2. The elevator in the high rise “chimes” when it reaches your floor. You can hear this chime in the hotel room. The elevator could be stopping on the floor above or below and you can still hear this chime.
