NYX Hotel Cancun

Very good value, great food, great staff, great location.

Good location right across the street from a couple of restaurants and a small mall. Frequent busses will take you from one end of the hotel zone to the other for 8 or 9 pesos or about 1 U.S. dollar. Hotel air conditioning was very good. Staff was personable and efficient. Maid service excellent.

This is a clean, modern hotel that offers all the amenities of the big city; it is centrally located to the Cancun Night Life, and, yet, peaceful enough to enjoy the natural attributes of the Caribbean Sea. I recommend their buffet styled meals, since they are both economical and delicious. I found Managemnet to be gracefully courteous and very helpful.

We had stayed before and liked it. This time we had a nicer room with a beautiful view. Food was excellent. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Following a really bad experience at the airport with a guantlet of time share salesmen and a rude desk person at Economy car rental , We arrived at the hotel tired and crabby. We were met by a friendly bell man who parked our car for us and brought us and our luggage to our room. The room was much bigger than we expected! Down side, free wi-fi only works in rhe lobby, not in the room. Food was tasty but cold even after sending it back once to be reheated. This hotel is showing its age in places, but the friendly staff make up for it and it is a good valu. I would go back again.

The hotel does not offer anything great but is a nice, clean hotel. No activities at the pool. The music at the pool was too loud for my liking. The room was nice and clean but the bed was very hard. I probably would not choose this hotel again unless it had a really great deal in the price.....staff were not rude but also not overly helpful.

This hotel could be special but lacked the little things to set it apart. Our room had a nice view of the ocean with a terrace. Big plus! It had a refrigerator (but it made clanking noises all night), a coffee maker (one packet of coffee, no more for the entire stay), and a microwave. The bathroom was adequate but we could only get 2 bath towels and one hand towel. We continually asked for wash cloths but only one hand towel was all we could get. The towels that were provided were frayed but clean. Bath amenities (shampoo, bath gel) were provided on arrival and never replaced. The air worked but never kept the room cool and so the tile floors were damp most of the time. The really good thing was the pool and the bar service and attendants. Carlos was an awesome server who was always available for a cold drink, even water, and questions. He always had a smile and seemed to never not be working. The beach is great but it is a shame that the beach beds were pricy to rent so they sat empty the entire week were there. The hotel next door has a very loud sound system which can be heard from the buildings close to that side of the complex. Not too bad as they were done before too late at night but could be annoying. Not sure there is a fix for that due to the locations of the buildings. These small things prevent it from a higher rating that could be fixed for minimal costs. We have visited cancun twice a year for several years so aren't new to the area. A little disappointing but "ok".
