Live Aqua Cancun - All Inclusive Adults Only

Great hotel and location. However, we felt that the food was very poor in quality and lacked variety. Also, we did not enjoy waiting for an hour for a table at dinner time. Service has really declined at this resort since our visit last year.

Good food. Terrible restroom services throughout the property, complained without resolve. Nice property. Sad to her that someone's safe was stolen. Missed not having a disco. Lots of mold in the restroom.

However, I've noticed that if I did not tip the waiters, I did not receive as good treatment as others. In Mexico, everytime you net to tip the people. THat's sad... But it's a very nice location, hotel and food.

staff are friendly, service is excellent, food is suprisingly good. Would be good to have better beer and red wine choices but overall great option!

Live Aqua is an exquisite hotel with exceptional amenities and attentive staff. The rooms are beautifully decorated, but the beds are not the most comfortable in the world. The room service is 5-Star and never a long wait. All of the restaurants on site are very good, but be sure to make a reservation if it says you need one (some nights they will fill up completely). I would recommend not eating the food that is in the buffets (it has been sitting out almost all day and I believe that's how I got sick one day). Live Aqua is very relaxing with poolside servers available all day to bring you drinks and food. Even though grat is included it is expected to tip them when they bring you a drink or lunch, etc. There are shops a 5 minute walk away with touristy shops and high end designers such as Gucci and LV. It's not worth taking any extra excursions off property when staying here because the whole time you just wish you were back at the hotel.

Great vacation food was the best we have had at any allinclusive resort. Not enough daily pool activities . Would have been nice to allow the venders in the resort for one night a week.

The hotel is a very nice looking and clean hotel. The staff was very nice but the service at the pool and the beach was poor no matter how much you tip them. The food in all the restaurants was fair. Hard to get hot food. I was not happy about the limited selection of beers. The exchange rate was poor at the hotel. The room was nice but not up to 5 star standards. This hotel was poor value. Not going to return.

Exceptional on every level - we wouldnt hesitate to return or recommend to anyone travelling to Cancun in future. The ethos of the hotel, true to its name, is aqua themed with aromotherapy scents and relaxing music played throughout. If it's relaxation you require this resort is perfect - the all inclusive package is the best I've ever experienced. The food and drink is restaurant quality and the 24 hr room service was the highlight of our trip! Upgrade to a n ocean view room if possible on a high floor - we were on the 9th floor at the centre of the hotel and the view was one of the best I've ever experienced.

Your perfect hotel and mine are probably different. The Live Aqua didn't hit all of my categories perfectly, but what it does deliver it does amazingly well. Here's what's on my "perfect hotel list"... All Adult - my kind of place - no screeching kids cannon-balling into the pool. Ahh... LOCATION - 5 stars. Not too far from the clubs, right across from La Isla shopping. BEDS - 5 stars. A category all to itself because good beds can be tough to come by in Mexico. These beds were better than the bed I have at home! FOOD - 4.5 stars. All-Inclusives commonly have problems with their food being low quality. Not this place. The food was great ALL the time. "Siete" the buffet was fantastic. You could even "order off the menu" at dinner time. "Azur" near the beach was our favorite. The Room Service menu is delicious too and only takes 30 minutes! The only low point was the "MB" restaurant which all 6 of us agreed had nasty tasting food. GREAT ambience, but nasty seasonings. ROOM - 5 stars. Glass enclosed shower, flat screen TV, DVD player and gorgeous ocean views WITH balcony. Awesome. POOL - 5 stars. Wonderfully warm. Clean. Large. Perfect. HOT TUB - 3 stars. More like a "luke warm" tub when I tried it out, but at least they have one! LOUNGE CHAIRS - 5 stars. They're padded and can lay flat -- perfect. STAFF - 10 stars! You will NEVER find a better staff than at this hotel. ALL of them are awesome! Now for the low points: DRINKS - 1 to 5 stars. You can get high quality alcohol here, in fact the "default" alcohol is considered top shelf. Where they fall short (and horribly) is the quality of the mixers. Eg. Strawberry Daiquiri is like red sugar liquid and some rum. Pina Colada is white sugar liquid and rum. Ideally, it should taste like fresh fruit was blended into the drink, but their mixers are truly of the poorest quality. Better off using Coke as a mixer, or drinking things straight like beer, or shots. ENTERTAINMENT: There isn't any noteworthy nightly entertainment besides a soloist near a restaurant in the evening. This is the thing I missed the most. I like the nightly shows you can get at other hotels. GETTING A LOUNGE CHAIR: Holy guacamole it is HARD to get a chair here! People are snatching them up at dawn! If you're not out there before 8 AM you'll be scrounging around on the beach hoping for a chair. If you want a chair by an umbrella by the pool you better set your alarm for 6 AM! If the hotel reads this...these are my suggestions to the hotel: - Overhaul your menu at "MB" restaurant. No one I talked to liked the food there. - If at all possible, increase the pool deck space to add some lounge chairs and umbrellas. - Everything else is SO first rate, why not make your drink mixers first rate too? - Consider adding some evening entertainment.
