Krystal Cancun Beachfront Resort

Great location - If you like the night life, this is the perfect location. It is close to all the bars/clubs as well as late-night munchies. Fantastic view - What better way to wake up than to a beautiful view and sound of the waves. We upgraded, totally worth it. Friendly staff - Everyone was super friendly/courteous at all times. Would we stay here again? Yes. It wasn't the creme-of-the-crop hotel but it was perfect for us because we were on the go during the day and would only came back to the hotel to sleep and... ;)

Been to Cancun many times over the years and have stayed at several hotels but this one remains my favorite. Remember these are not the same as hotels back home, even the ones with the U.S. names (Hyatt, Sheraton), it's Mexico, not Las Vegas, LA, or NYC. Food, service, and rooms are not 5 star, but they are fine (who wants to stay all the time in their hotel in Cancun). The price, beach, and location are unbeatable. Being able to walk to most places and not have to take a cab, having one of the prettiest beach fronts, makes up for any and all deficiencies. Definitely the place to stay.

Stayed six days, loved the beach-front view. The only down fall is that the rooms have very thin walls. Half our stay we had to listen to a crying child and yelling parents, not romantic at all. Other than that, staff is super friendly. They have live entertainment on the weekends, great bar staff too. The pools are nice and clean, even have a kid's pool and area. The hotel location is great for night-life goers; clubs, bars, taco stands galore! Would definitely visit again.

All was good except the lady and staff that checked us out of room and accused us of drinking some of their drinks in room. We did not even touch their drinks, we bought all our drinks from outside. That was really rude and didn't even bother apologizing, instead lady just became serious didn't even say goodbye or thank you for visiting us.

This hotel is a great value. The staff are friendly and the location is ideal for any activities available in Cancun.

Although the location can't be beat the service was terrible. From arrival to departure it was obvious that the staff didn't really care about the customers' experience. If it weren't for a select few of the staff (Christian, Edgar, and Linda) our stay would have been awful. Our room didn't include a king bed but two double beds, our luggage wasn't moved to our room, the food was less than great, and not much was included. One couple was even charged for using (2) tea bags from the room. The only way we, or the other two couples we travel with, would return to the Krystal is if we had some basic assurances in advance. I wish I had better things to say about our latest vacation, but it simply didn’t compare to our previous trips.

Best thing about this hotel: location! Right next to anything you might need. Nice pool. Bad things: staff is not willing to help. If you have any problem, this is what you'll hear from them: "sorry". And that's pretty much it! Don't expect any effort to fix things. If you are not an "all inclusive" guest, you look like an "all excluded" one. That's the feeling. We booked a room with continental breakfest (that we payed for!) and this "breakfest" was offered in a very small office room, where they run this Krystal Club! So you have the office's staff working tables right beside your breakfest table. Nosense!

If you get a room with an ocean view, it cannot get better in Cancun, provided you don't mind some late night noise in the neighborhood on certain nights. The spa and gym are terrible, and so is the buffet. other than that, this hotel is a good value for the price you pay.

We liked this hotel although there was nothing that exceptional about it. The location is great and the view from our room was spectacular. Overall, we enjoyed staying here. There were no activities at the hotel that we were able to find out about. Housekeeping did an average job of cleaning our room, although we left a tip every day. We stayed 6 nights. Food and drink prices were expensive if you did not have the all inclusive option, which we did not opt for. We would consider going back if we get a good deal and the all inclusive option.
