Hyatt Regency Cancun

My wife and I had a very nice 4-day vacation here, the beach was beautiful the staff were friendly, and the amenities were nice. The hotel property was smaller than others we had been to in the past; there is only one restaurant and 1.5 pools. The location was not fantastic if you want to venture outside of the property, it was about a ten minute walk to get to a few not-so-great restaurants. So, we had a wonderful, relaxing vacation for 4 days, but any longer would have been too long, unless we started planning full-day excursions.

The staff at Hyatt made me feel so comfortable .I went on vacation alone for my 40th bday to relax They were the best The rooms were nice and rather comfy the breakfast buffet and the grill which was the restaurant at the hotel was amazing/// The spa was the best treatment ever thanks to them...they made my 40th bday spectacular

The hotel and rooms are very nice, good location, close to restaurants and the party area of Cancun. Nice beach. Not far from the city if you need to do some business there. Good value for the price.

The Hyatt was awesome! We got a great deal on our trip and the hotel was amazing for the price! It is within walking distance of everything. It has an excellent beach and the staff was so nice! They helped us out with everything! Drinks and food are pricey but you can find a deal walking down the strip. We had a lot of bad luck in Cancun, we rented a car and got rearended, I got my camera stolen downtown at Paris Pharmacy and when we went to return the car to the Dollar rental place they tried to charge us a lot more than we had agreed on, plus we had a 0% deductable and full coverage insurance. They were just trying to get more money! If you rent a car, don't go to Dollar rental! They were so rude! Other than that, our hotel was awesome and the people were very nice.

The only thing I didn't like. You had sign a release not to bring outside food or drinks in hotel.

Location is excellent. This side of the Hotel Zone is where most bars/ clubs are at, within walking distance for Hyatt guests. Everything was excellent,except there was a moldy smell in the room. I guess it was borderline annoying. I told the staff after checking out, maybe I should've told them after the 1st night. I don't know if that was the only room or if it was in the Central air system.

The Hyatt in general: This hotel was immaculate! I would recommend everyone to stay here. The hotel is right off the beach, perfect for relaxing and getting a tan and no matter what room you get, you'll get some type of oceanview. You're taken care of from the moment you get off your taxi. Upon check-in however, the receptionist has you sign a form stating that you will not bring in any outside food/drinks etc., however people still do so no worries! The rooms are beautiful and very clean! There's room service everyday, however room service personnel come by in the early morning to check whether they're able to clean the room or not, so if you don't want to be woken up at 9am, ask for a "privacy" placard and place it on your door and they'll come by later when you're out of your room to clean it. Rooms are cleaned everyday! Hotel features: The hotel restaurant is very yummy but pricey! Be ready to pay $18 USD+ per plate. The hotel lounge is very nice and well-priced (what you'd expect to pay at a US bar/lounge- $4.50 USD+ for beer and $9.50 USD for cocktails). Location: The hotel is located within a 5-7 minute walk from all the hot clubs/bars in Cancun as well as the food court and flee market area! Coco Bongo is a must! Best club ever, nothing else like it! There's also a little convenience store located across the street from the hotel so that you can buy any items from beer/drinks-personal items that you may need on your trip. Cancun in general: Cancun isn't cheap at all bec/it's a tourist area. If you're planning to party in Cancun, plan to pay as much as you would in the States. Bars range from $15-$50 USD for open bar. Word of caution on open bar, the quality of alcohol is very cheap! So, if you can't do cheap alcohol, buy your own drinks, however, if you don't mind...no problem!

Hotel's has beautiful grounds and very helpful, polite staff that give you whatever you need and help convert money at the front desk. Room's are nice but a bit small, and they have uncomfortable beds and pillows. I am picky when it comes to my sleeping accommodations, so that spoiled it for me. Other than that, I liked the hotel and thought the location was in pretty central to the clubs, shopping, and Hotel zone in Cancun.

I spent a whole week, and everything was just perfect. The friendly staff, the room, and -most important- the spotless beach... just steps away from the lobby.
