Grand Park Royal Cancun Caribe - All Inclusive

Went to this hotel based on others reviews. I will start off with the bad: As soon as you get to the lobby to check in the hotel you will be offered "A free $100 gift card" if you are carrying a major credit card or a $50 gift card if you don't have a major credit card. When I arrive at a hotel to start my vacation, I don't want to be badgered by the "Royal Rep" to go on a 90 minute tour so they can sell me a timeshare. I am on vacation and paying a premium dollar, I don't want to waste 90 minutes of my vacation on a sales person. The food was subpar #sucked#. The Oriental restaurant staff didn't know any Japanese or Chinese, just Spanish, so that should tell you how the food was #terrible#. The Italian Restaurants lasagna taste like Chef Boyardee out of a can. These were the hotels "Specialty" restaurants that required a reservation to get in. they show a gym at the hotel. You have to pay $8 usd a day per person to use it. What a joke. The good: The hotel pools are nice and the beach is perfect. The rooms are nice but could be updated with flat screen TVs and a better channel selection #about 4 channels in English#. If you want to go back to your room at night after dinner and relax by watching a movie, you better bring an ipad because the hotel does not have "movie ordering" through the TVs. Just basic cable channels. The hotel is located a 10 minute walk to Margaretville or Outback Steak House #South#. A 10 minute walk North is shopping mall, Hard Rock Cafe, Senior Frogs, and Coco Bongos. If I were to go back to Cancun on vacation, I would try a different hotel in the same area in the hotel district because it is centrally located. For the money spend I could have had a better overall vacation in Aruba #better food, no one trying to sell me junk, nicer room# but this was my first vacation to Cancun, so live and learn.... Additional note, pools/hotel are not kid friendly. Try Caribe Real next door if you are bringing kids under 10 to Cancun.

If this is your first time in Cancun, Grand Park is a great hotel, in an amazing location, beautiful beach and great food. The buffet is smaller than most places, but they have great food.

I booked this Hotel based on the reviews. Boy do I regret it. The rooms were average, beds were hard and worst of all DO NOT get there early and expect them to accomodate you. My best friend and I arrived at 11am and were not allowed to check in until 3pm sharp. We even offered to pay extra. Food was above average. MAke sure to make reservations for the Italian and Tai Restaurants. Great food there.

Room service would take two hours to deliver food. Bar tenders were very rude and would make faces when you would order drinks. Made reservations for the oriental restaurant and we waited two half hours and never received food,so we just left the restaurant. They charge for everything single thing to try to use like the gym or if you lose room key. Also at the pool we would have to go get your drinks cause they have no one that would come up to you to take orders while your in pool, why they wouldn't hirepeople for that is crazy. Definitely not worth the $800 we paid for three days.

Great Hotel to stay at for the price, The food was great but some stuff obviously was different than american.... Rooms were excellent, fresh and clean. Not much going on before 11am though, just a breakfast buffet... no bars open for free drinks. Great pools and beds near pools. Only thing i noticed is that there was several bars on the resort but none of which were really comfortable to sit at and drink... its all kind of get a drink and wander away.... I like to sit and get hammered :) Would stay again

I went on a trip with my boyfriend and 3 other couples and we had the best time. The entertainment staff was excellent and really enhanced the experience. I thought that the food was really good and the hotel in general was very clean. I would definitely go back!

Loved the hotel. All of the staff, from Hector in the dining room to Carlos playing games were fantastic. We've been home for 2 days and can't wait to go back. Really got a chance to relax and enjoy life.

The Cancun Grand Park Royal Caribe, was a very great hotel for the price. As you first walk in to register you are welcomed with a signature alcoholic drink! and checking in is a breeze, and you get helped all the way to your room. During my stay i got an upgrade once i got there and i stayed in the Royal Tower which is one of the nicer buildings of the resort. The view from our room was just breathtaking, The food at the hotel was just OK, nothing out of this world good, room service food was believe it or not the best. The entertainment staff kept everyone busy and entertained. Maria , Benjamin, Diego were the fun ones! The cantineros knew me by name, they were amazing. Tipping the staff that works in service is well appreciated since in Mexico they dont make good wages. Located right next to the beach, and walking distance to shopping malls, and nightlife such as Cocobongo which i reccomend to go to. and Senor Frogs which is a fun time as well. I am deff going back next year to this place.

Very entertaining week. Ate too much, drank too much, really had a great time. Food was excellant, service great and facilities were super.

amazing beach and pool, beautiful view, lovely hotel, AMAZING food! the staff was amazing. everyone was friendly and always fun. the nightlife was amazing too. perfect hotel, i will 100% come back here!
