Grand Park Royal Cancun Caribe - All Inclusive

Stayed at this hotel 11/26-12/3, had a great time, the food was good and the rooms were clean and nice with an awesome ocean view.

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the Grand Park Royal. Our beachfront room was clean and comfortable. And the food was really good. We were not expecting such a good food quality and choice from an all-inclusive. Take advantage of the additional restaurant besides the buffet. We strongly recommend it and would go there in the future as well.

Perfect location sandwiched between the lagoon and the ocean, the ideal Hotel if you are not interested in the hustle and bustle of the club area. The Hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff couldn't be more pleasant and helpful. We had a ground floor pool and ocean view room with a patio. The beds were very comfortable, nice bathroom there was a tv and mini bar. The buffet restaurant that was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner was excellent, plenty of choices. The lunches at the sea food restaurant was excellent and we especially enjoyed the roof top bar. Poolside food (hot dogs, hamburgers, nachos, pizza) were available, The coffee shop also had excellent sandwiches, pastries and ice cream. Our only unsatisfactory food experience was in the Oriental Restaurant. When the manager observed our disappointment he came and spoke to us wanting to know why the food had not met the mark.. He was very pleasant and really seemed to want to know how they could do better. For the most part the food was overwhelmed by sauces and the use of too much soy sauce. The Samosa's were beautifully crispy but virtually empty of filling. For those who want pool activities there was a full program...for a quieter pool experience the infinity pool was perfect. I can't speak highly enough of the staff who could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Shopping was great at La Isla Mall (a 15 minute walk or a 10 pesos bus ride)..Unless you can handle being hassled by the store workers I would avoid the flea markets and stick to the regular stores. All in all a wonderful first visit to Cancun and I would certainly recommend it.

Loved the hotel. All of the staff, from Hector in the dining room to Carlos playing games were fantastic. We've been home for 2 days and can't wait to go back. Really got a chance to relax and enjoy life.

This was my first visit to Cancun, It is so beautyful! I arrange this hotel stay for me and my family. All inclusive amenities were great. The location is excelent. I was very impress with the hospitality of all the staff. I can hardly wait for my next trip. Visited the ruins in Tulum, and went swiming with the turtles. What an experience for my grandaughters.

Very beutiful and clean hotel with great pools and beach .The service was excellent , the Staff are very friendly. the food was excellent.

Our trip was a pleasant one. We purchased the Orbitz roundtrip transportation. On the instruction it recommends to walk directly outside and don’t stop. Well, I got pulled aside thinking it was airport personnel but it turned out to be sales people for Time shares. When they tell you keep walking, please keep walking. Arrival at the Hotel was very nice. We were greeted with cocktails, Miami Vice to be more specific. Reception was very informative and friendly. We had to wear a wrist bad to be indentified as All Inclusive guests. Not to thrilled about wearing it but what to do. The room was nice and the view breathtaking. We had all the amenities we read about on the web page. The fridge though was informed does not cool beverages but keeps them fresh. While unpacking we got a call to go downstairs and get our welcome package as well s a gift. We get downstairs and got a pyramid magnet (cute) and a lot of information about the surroundings. And then here it came “Time share presentation”. The lady wanted us to go to the 8:30 am but I said no since we were going to sleep over and had plans to go to town. Next day came by and around 9:30 am three calls to the room while getting ready to go to reschedule presentation. I started to get annoying to walk on the main hallway since we always got stopped to inquire about our day and then start sales pitch. We came from town and we were asked if we went to town to attend another presentation. Oh myyy Goood!!! I asked reception and was informed they do not work directly with the hotel. Aside from that, the Hotel was beautiful and the restaurants incredible. From the decoration to the service, WOW! The staff at the Hotel go all out to make your stay awesome. The Italian restaurant had a Cello player that was incredible. The Japanese restaurant also great. The waitresses dressed in kimonos and in the bottom level a coy pond and a huge bird cage. We recommend public transportation. They go everywhere and is 1$ US but if you change pesos is less than that. Everything is bus stop away even Wal-Mart. Went to a couple of excursions and what an experience. First, we took a 12 hr tour to the Chichen-Itza ruins. I must say the ruins are an incredible site. Not the same to see it in pictures than to stand in front of one of the modern wonders of the world. The only draw back is that in my opinion is still and archeological site and as such it should be respected. There are hundreds of vendors all over the place and it takes away some of the history for me but we made the best of it. BTW, cant climb the pyramids anymore due to people falling and some others carving their names and removing pieces of it. Still incredible! Second excursion was to Isla Mujeres for snorkeling and it was just ok. Not much to see in that area to much grass and no coral. I guess I am spoiled after snorkeling in Jamaica and Puerto Rico. Well, all in all we had a great stay but next time will try another Hotel that does not have all those pushy people around.
