Grand Park Royal Cancun Caribe - All Inclusive

The Grand Park Royal is exactly what it is. What a wonderful resort to stay in. The location, cleanliness and hospitality was impeccable. The food was great with more choices than I could make. Always served with a smile. All the meals in the two "a la carte" restaurants that we tried were wonderfully prepared, and the service was fantastic. Coffee is not served until 0700, so we called room service, and had it delivered to our room upon waking. We stayed in the Premier Tower, and what a fantastic view of the ocean. We did not have one negative thing to say about this resort. We will certainly miss the Bali beds in the morning around the infinity pool. Nice, quiet place to relax and read a book, until the activities began around the "fun" pool. We never had any problems with the time share folks. We just let them know we were not interested, and were never approached again. They serve top shelf brands, when you ask for them, and they were more than generous. Totally satisfied with the Grand Park Royal!!

we just returned from our trip (4 adults and 2 children ages 3, 5). We've travelled many times to mexico and carribean so I have what to compare to. The hotel overall was very good, definitely not over 4 stars but definitely a solid 4 stars Food: Buffet had excellent tasting food. I must say the smallest buffet i've seen but every item was verrrry tasty! The desserts were amazing!!! I'm still dreaming about them. However, there were no items on the buffet that were of higher qaulity---- meaning---- no shrimps, lobsters, sea bass, steaks, assortment of seafood. The three restaurants italian, oriental , and ?seafood? were horrible. Presentation there was very nice but yuck. Service at the buffets were amazing. There was always someone there removing a plate or getting you a drink Rooms: I had an ocean front room in the newer building? The two beds were tiny for two adults on each bed. The bed was very hard and the pillow felt like it had rocks. I tossed and turned a lot. The shower was amazing and the room was cleaned very well. Bring your own toilettries! This is not 5 stars! no slippers, no robes, no toilletires. A pathetic tiny tube of shower gel, lotion, and a bar of soap, come on really? I always bring my own stuff thank god. Nothing else is given in the bathroom. Pool: pool was nice, with a bar, but cold water so didnt spend time there Jacuzzi: DISGUSTING. it was more like a kids pool with kids in there splashing around constantly. Visibly floating dirt everyday! I wouldnt step foot in it Beach: Amazing sand and warm water. BUT you have to walk down to the beach which is a pain, especially when you want to get a drink. Entertainment: I did not participate in the daytime entertainment. BUT... we were unhappy that there were no shows for the night like most resorts do. There is nothing to do here after dinner. Its not like you can go to a club on the strip w/ small kids. OVERALL, a solid 4 stars in terms of good service, cleanliness, and good tasting food. However, with so many resorts to visit I would not return here unless there was an amazing deal going on for this place.

WOW! This place was amazing! We went with friends on this trip to celebrate our anniversaries. The rooms were so clean, beds were comfy and the glass shower was amazing! The food was spectacular! I felt like there were so many choices...they had the buffet, the Italian restaurant, the Oriental restaurant, and the breakfast/lunch seafood restaurant! All were incredible! The Oriental and Italian were probably my favorites...but really loved the others too. (Only kids 12 & up were permitted in the Oriental/Italian restaurants.) Made many great friends (staff) in all the eateries! Isreal in seafood, Ivan & Rafael in the buffet. They greeted us everyday with big smiles on their face. LOVED their outdoor areas. The pools were fantastic. There were 2 main pool areas to choose from. The larger pool had families, games and great music on all day. The other pool (our favorite) was more of a quiet pool area....although we helped keep the noise level up! :) This area was great! Loved hanging at the swim up bar with our amazing bartenders Alexander, Roberto & our #1 guy FRANSISCO! They provided us with a weeks worth of entertainment for sure! And I can't leave out the wonderful entertainment staff.....our man...CARLOS! Really enjoyed getting to know Carlos through the week. He was great to chat with, answered all our questions and was so helpful!

We had a great vacation at a great hotel. The only things i would wish for would be WI-Fi and Gym use be included in the package total.

The hotel is very good but we did not like the way that the empoyers of travel agency called royal offered them packages to us. They taked too much of our time and demanded US$10,00 before the speech. After they did not want give back our money.

This is our second stay at this hotel. Compared to other hotels in the hotel zone, this one is a lot smaller, but no less beautiful. Compared to other similarly priced hotels, this easily has the best beachfront and nicest pools. The staff is generally friendly and kind (minus the Royal people, perhaps), restaurant service is quick and with a smile. Knowledge of English is very good among the staff, except perhaps those who clean, but you'll pick up enough Spanish to greet them. The buffet that doesn't require reservations has surprisingly good food, especially on Mexican theme night. The activities that are planned are varied and led by a dedicated team. You choose your level of involvement, and the hotel caters to it. We really love this place. Note -- we don't have children, but this place has a few activities for kids, is generally kid-friendly, but for those who don't have them or are wary of "family friendly", they aren't really a bother if you choose your activities well. This place is very well balanced.

At times customer service was great, employees seemed happy to help and make us feel comfortable. However, there were times when customer service was not good at all. Waiters at the buffet sometimes took forever to help us, at other times seemed in a bad mood and even ignored our requests. We were also a bit disappointed with the menu at the buffet. We felt that it needed more variety. Overall, I think it is a good place (i.e., great pools, great beach, bars) with a great location. They do need to work on their customer service (i.e., employee attitude, food variety, and fun/engaging activities) consistency, ensuring that all employees provide good service at all times. I hope that if I ever decide to go back, my experience is much more pleasant and special.

I cannot say enough about this resort in terms of the cleanliness of the entire resort (room, common areas, restaurants, beach, pools, etc.), the professionalism and attitude of the staff, and the fact that everything was in fact "included" in the price. Never once did any staff member make you feel as if you should lay out additional monies for any service they provide. The food and drinks were decent and abundant and in some cases impressive for what you would think you would get at an all inclusive resort. If you're in need of a good place to go and relax in the sun and just completely unwind, I would recommend this place to anyone. While it may not be at the top of the rating scale, it was worth the money. However, being an all-inclusive resort, please keep in mind that while you don't need to shell out a few bucks, the staff work very hard to make it what it is so throwing a couple of bucks their way from time-to-time is overly appreciated by the staff and keeps you at the top of their priority list.

Grand Park Royal really is an amazing hotel with a lot to offer. It's a great place for whatever group you're traveling with. We were there over Christmas 2011 on our Honeymoon and saw many other couples, along with families, and other groups of friends on vacation. The hotel rooms are extremely clean and the maids come every day. There is a refrigerator in your room that is stocked everyday with pop, beer, and bottled water. Food was great-fun to try new things. The entertainment staff is amazing and there's an activity going on every hour. Also-the hotel staff takes you to a local nightclub every night with free one-way transportation and an open bar. The beach....by far my favorite part. Huuuge beach, white sand and beautiful clear water. Pools are great and there's always a place to lay. The infinity pool has a swim up bar and chairs that are in the water. Overall, everything was awesome and we're already planning to go back next summer with a group of our friends.

First checked in, I was bumped out because the front desk manager asked me to sign somepapers by Spanish, I just asked him what is this? Without explanation, he told "just sign it" by a very unfriendly and very rude attitude, but I told myself I wouldn't let him ruining my good time, otherwise everything else was as planned.
