Grand Park Royal Cancun Caribe - All Inclusive

Just got back 8/24/12. Overall great expereince. Great beach, beautiful white sands, surf was a bit rough for my 2 and 7 year olds. Hotel is very clean!! Staff were very friendly, specially the restaurant staff. Nothing really to complain about. Room was very clean, good size with mini fridge. Beds were firm, but I prefer that. Ocean view from room was post card perfect. My only minor point would be to have more options for dinner for those with kids. There are 3 restaurants for dinner, 2 of them are 12 years and above. WE still had a great time despite that, as they vary the menu theme everyday at the buffet. The food quality was always great. I specailly loved the seafood restaurant for lunch. Excellent value, solid 4 star resort, with 5 star staff and 5 star cleanliness. We also booked our shared ground transportation, which was an excellent experience as well. Once you get out of customs, ignore the time share sales folks and walk straight outside to find the transportation folks. They were very friendly and professional.

From the second we arrived to the Grand Park Royal to the second we left our stay was wonderful! The hotel was very clean and the staff was awesome. The location of the hotel was also great! Would definitely return!

Room service would take two hours to deliver food. Bar tenders were very rude and would make faces when you would order drinks. Made reservations for the oriental restaurant and we waited two half hours and never received food,so we just left the restaurant. They charge for everything single thing to try to use like the gym or if you lose room key. Also at the pool we would have to go get your drinks cause they have no one that would come up to you to take orders while your in pool, why they wouldn't hirepeople for that is crazy. Definitely not worth the $800 we paid for three days.

The hotel was good but could use different management, clean hotel, old showers that water sprouted to the roof then to everywere, not fixed even tough we requested. Room service menu is very limited, the snack garden closed at 7 too early comared to other less expensive all inclusive places that have snack for people who go out and are comming back late. Only able to eat at the buffet which gets anoyng after the 3rd day since to go to the italian or oriental you have to make an appoitment between 12 and 3 and no ne answers your call, you can't walk even if there are plenty of tables empty. We were a family of 11 manager refused to put 3 tables together at the buffete until i showed pictures of the same day with big families and tables together. Managers irst response was always no, no apology, just a no. Waters, cleaning staff and bartenders were friendly super nice and actualy agreed with our complaints but what could they do. No pool side waiters or at the beach. To expensive for so many little wong things that ruin your stay.

We loved everything about this resort from the staff to the food. The only complaint we had was the staff of the resort who where there to sell you a time share ask you everytime you came out of the building even after you have already told them you are not interested. We were there just to relax and get some sun and that we did.

This resort was overall worth the price. The Oriental Restuarant was excellent and the Italian Restuarant was as expected. A annoying part of this resort was that you had to make reservations for the restuarants ONLY between 12pm and 3pm. So right in the middle of the day you had to stop what you were doing and go sign up for a table. It always seemed pointless to do this because when you arrived the resturants were only 1/4 to 1/2 full. I wish you could have just called ahead. The buffet was very good however they had an odd rule about men without sleeves couldn't come in? So in the morning we tried to eat breakfast before heading to the beach and they made me return to my room and change clothes which felt very childish. It wasn't like i showed up in a mustard stained tanktop, I was just wearing a sleaveless shirt. All in all they had some stupid rules that seemed to be uncessassary, but I was in too good a mood to argue.

We stayed in this hotel from May 18-22, 2012. We enjoyed it very much. The food was great, the drinks were good and the staff were nice and helpful. We never had any problem finding beach chairs or anything like that. The Italian Restaurant was superb!

The staff was excellent and freindly. The hotel gives more of a quaint type atmosphere which was very nice. The buffet was fine but not as nice as the other three hotels I stayed at prior to this trip. The Italian and Oriental restaurants were very nice. The onsite gym should be included in the "All-inclusive" price. The rooms are well kept and very clean. Overall, a very nice, relaxing getaway. I also sent my son on his honeymoon here in May 2012.

I have had a few days now to reflect on my stay at the Grand Park Royal Caribe, and I cannot come up but with one complaint; the internet service was spotty, yet they truly did a great job in helping me to get the service up and running. Otherwise, it was all good. The staff is great and there was always staff busy cleaning & maintaining the hotel rooms & grounds. I stayed in the premiere tower and it was beachfront. My room was very clean & the shower was great with a rain head directly above and two additional shower heads. The food at the buffett was just better than average but the presentation was very good and the selections were plenty. Staff was very nice, attentive, and friendly. I advise upgrading to the Premier Tower or Royal Tower. Those rooms were newer and on the beach. I stayed in the Premier Tower and loved it. Some of the other vacationers had been to this hotel more than once and now I would say I will be going back to the Grand Park Royal on my next trip to Cancun. Clearly, an awesome value for the price.

We have stayed at more expensive, boutique hotels but this is a great value and an excellant choice. Had a great time. If you can't have a great vacation here it's your own fault. Of course, this is not a high excitement place. The food was very good (be sure to take long pants and closed toed shoes for men for the Italian and Oriental restaraunts) and we loved the roof top lounge. Enjoy!
