Grand Park Royal Cancun Caribe - All Inclusive

I booked my stay at the Cancun Caribe Park Royal Grand for April 15-20. Unfortunately, my stay there was a disappointing and short one. Be aware that they will make you pay a $2.00 dollar charge per day to use the lock box in your room (advertisement says that is included in the room package). You also are not allowed to buy food or drink to bring back to the hotel and must sign a form stating so. The overall feel of the hotel is that it is in need of an update and renovation and certainly does not reflect a hotel of four star quality with an AAA Diamond rating (more like a two or three star). I requested a room that was higher up (due to pool noise), and was told they could not provide it until my second night. While the Deluxe ocean view was pretty, the bed was hard as a rock, the pillows left alot to be desired, the room and bathroom smelled dirty, and the sheets had the same musty smell. The air conditioning was not on, not sure if it worked. I tried to switch rooms my first night in hopes that the bedroom conditions would be better. To remedy the situation, the front desk staff brought me to a room that was equally as bad and was right across from a nightclub (playing loud music into the early morning). The pools/hot tub were great, but you will notice many guards surrounding the pool areas who seem to be cleaning all of the time, but you feel like you do not have any privacy as a guest as they are watching you constantly. This hotel is very "rule bound", so it makes it difficult to enjoy oneself on vacation. I did walk out of the hotel on my first night and the hotel staff/front desk supervisor were not accommodating, and did not refund my first night's stay or lack thereof. If you are looking for a cheap, non-descript place to sleep only, this would be your hotel. I ended up staying at another four star hotel down the strip, and finally enjoyed the rest of my vacation.

It was quiet, clean, nice hotel with great beach.

Bel hôtel, propre, personnel attentionnė et efficace, grande piscine principale, toutes les chambres ont vue mer et la plage est très propre. Buffet variė et bon, cocktails très bons dans les deux bars des piscines. Bon emplacement car à seulement 20 minutes à pieds des boites de nuit.

Dette hotellet kan absolutt anbefales. Sevicen var ubeklagelig, og her fikk man virkelig følelsen av å bli tatt vare på. Rengjøringen var heller ikke noe å utsette på. Må komme et et eksempel her: Var en dag vi bestemte oss for at vi ikke ønsket at rommet skulle vaskes. Dette endte med at pesonalet ringte oss flere ganger for å få dette bekreftet. Siste telefon var fra sjefen selv, som måtte få dette bekreftet:-). Er det noe som kan kritiserers er kun tilgangen på rent flaskevann. Litt for lite vann i minibaren og ellers på hotellet som var inkludert.
