The Oasis Cancun All Inclusive hotel is adjacent to the Nichupte Lagoon, just a short drive away from Plaza Kukulcan and the heart of the main tourist area. The hotel offers a range of sports facilities, including tennis courts and a golf course, nightly theatre entertainment and a nightclub, so guests are not likely to be left short of things to do. The biggest highlight of the Oasis Cancun may be the incredible swimming complex, where pools and waterways wind past exotic gardens and guests can enjoy waterfalls and swim-up bars.

Good Food Lousy Rooms

No information given to us about the resort when we arrived other than a plain map of grounds. Room problems: musty odor in room, dirty water marked bed skirt, no bath towels (made 3 request), shower looked like it was not cleaned, wall room lights not working, lamp would short out when you went to turn it off or on, toilet lever stuck open, water leaking from toilet(I think the wax ring needed to be replaced, touch clock & it would short out, little bugs on table in morning when you turned lights on. Finally got changed to room in pyramid (bld. #5) after paying to become VIP member. That room was clean but the painted tub had a drain that you could not open if you stepped on it. Check in staff terrible waiters & other staff very nice. Worst resort I have ever stayed at.

Family Trip

Horrible Hotel. Rude staff that will just take your money but will not help you with any issues. Rooms have mold and air conditioners sound like airplane turbine. They are remodeling main pyramid, so no evening entertainment in the lobby. Target market for this hotel is 18-25 crazy kids. Don't stay there!!!

Cancun trip

The food service is excellent. The room is clean. The staffs are friendly. However, the front desk service needs to be improved.

Honeymoon Trip

The pool, beach and the restaurants were really good but the front desk and housekeeping service were so disappointing. Our bed sheets were dirty and after we called to get them changed they never did until I took all the sheets and placed them on the floor and they never replaced the towels and everytime I called they would tell me that they were washing them and would bring me pool towels. On our second to last day we went to eat at Akeru and 45 min after the appetizers came out the server comes to tell us that the grill is off and we can go eat the buffet and once we after we get our first plate at the buffet they start shutting down so we went to front desk and all they reccomended was for us to go to the spots where they had late snacks. And beware they ask you if you recieved your free bottle of tequila and if you say no they take you to a spot where they try to sell you timeshares.

Great location on beach

Great location on beautiful beach. Very good restaurants. Needs more accessible bars and washrooms. Internet service not working for days and hotel couldn't exchange money very often. Don't feel that things were explained very well. Should have had a meet and greet. Other than restaurant staff, don' t really feel that hotel employees cared too much or went out of their way. Entertainment in Jazz club nightly was great but shows in the main building "pyramid" were a disaster and mostly in the dark making it impossible to see. Great place but you're mainly on your own.

Family vacation

This hotel is great if you are 21 and on spring break. Not family friendly at all. We had an awful experience at the pool with some rowdy obnoxious guests who were doing drugs at the pool side! Staff did not care one bit. Drunk kids screaming and carrying on all night, right next to hotel staff who said nothing. Staff even argued with us at 5am during check out because apparently we needed to turn in pool towels?! The friendliness of the staff was horrid, I've never felt so disrespected on my vacation ever. If you are looking for a nice relaxing time please do not stay here, there are a ton of other hotels in the area where you will have a much better vacation. We've had a great time at the dreams resorts.

A Good Value for the Price

Comparing the price, location and what you get, the Grand Oasis Cancun is a good hotel. Specially if you are a young uncomplicated couple with or without kids. CONS - Its main problem is that it is showing its age, specially in the bathrooms (I assume they clean them, but they look rusty and falling apart). When we were younger we did not care much about that, but we have become more demanding. But always keep in mind its unbeatable all-inclusive price! - The other problem is accessibility. Even in the buildings that have the first floor at ground level, someone in a wheelchair would not be able to go to the bathroom. We had to search for rooms without bath tubs, and once we found one we had to ask maintenance to remove the bathroom door (Hotel admin did not know what to do in this cases, go figure). So, look for a newer hotel. - Internet/Wi-Fi offerings are old-school (expensive and suck), but that may a sign that you should unplug. PROS - A great bargain (we had three rooms and six people, it would have cost us a fortune else where) - All inclusive, with plenty of restaurants. Three of them were excellent. Go for the VIP/Grand plan so you get access to their upscale restaurants and the VIP Lounge, which is excellent after the third day when you are sick of big buffets (they are good) and want something simpler and without rush. The chicken wings they serve by the beach are also key for those days you want to take it easy. - The beach is spectacular. Goos if you have kids. We did not use their concierge or tours, because we booked them separately, so we can't tell. But, if you have a group of 6 or more, I recommend hiring private tour to go to Chichen Itza and Xcaret. They are not that expensive (compared to bus tour) and you get to beat the crowd and manage your tour at your own leisure.

Entertainment tip: In Hotel

Shows are ok, if you have nothing else planned. They are not as good as the ones in cruise lines, but they are trying hard. They do have good music every day.
