We Were Happy There
Hotel staffs were super nice and accommodating. We had the oceanfront room with the grand club excess, we were treated like VIPs. Although this hotel doesn't offer all-inclusive, they do serve light food 3 times a day to their grand club members, which has help us out a greatly on our budget. We only have one concern which the room was a little humid. Besides that, we love Fiesta Americana and highly reccomend this place. We are booking another trip Fiesta Americana in Cabo in a couple of months this September!

Wonderful
This is our favorite place to stay on the Riviera Maya despite the fact that neither my husband nor myself particularly like Cancun itself. The hotel is beautiful and has one of the best locations in Cancun. The ocean is swimmable and clean in front of the hotel. The view of the Caribbean from the rooms in unsurpassed - a close, wide view of the ever changing sea and its spectacular blues. The rooms are great and very large - a sleeping area, then stepping down to a living area - and then finally out to a good size balcony with those extraordinary views. The swimming pool is warm and the service is excellent. The staff-at every level- are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable and do a great deal to make the hotel the great experience it is. We had breakfast in the hotel and also ate at the pool and it was very good and reasonably priced. There are also several small restaurants close by with good food.

nice hotel...but
The accommodations were good, but the hotel nickles and dimes you for every little thing. Wi Fi was $20. for a day. use of the gym was $10. a day. the in room coffee was $3. and the water to make it with was $5. When I pay top rates to stay at a hotel I expect amenities to be included.

Consistently excellent
When we arrived the hotel had no room for us do to a "computer error". They put us up for one night at a sister hotel a couple of miles away. We returned the next day and were provided an upgraded suite along with a menu of free and discounted drinks, meals, activities and events. After the initial booking glitch the hotel lived up to it's five star rating on all counts. The service is impecable and the staff goes out of their way to makeyou welcome and comfortable. Dining from poolside burgers to haute cuisine is top quality. The new spa is pricey but it is beautiful and well staffed. The hotel inside and out is immaculate. The only negative thing I have to say is that at times I noticed a faint septic odor in the main lobby and in various other locations. In total this is a superb hotelfor a relaxing get away: a great beach, fine service and all the amenities you could ask for.

Worst experience with no value
Starting with the Amenities, you pay for everything and I mean everything. Even a cheap motel like Motel 6 gives you free coffee in the morning. This hotel you will pay for it. We had dinner at the restaurant once, first mistake; not only did they not have local food but the chicken with spaghetti was atrocious. If your paying for ambiance then you got your monies worth because the food was terrible. The last day we thought we would try breakfast and give the hotel a chance to redeem themselves, second mistake; 54 US dollars later we left feeling as though we had been robbed. I booked this hotel because of the reviews and the pictures of the spa. The reviews must have come from people who either don't care about price for value or have to much money. As far as the pictures of the spa, we didn't get a chance to see the spa since it was 85 US dollars per person per day just to use the indoor pool. If you wanted to treat your wife to a massage that will set you back 300 US dollars, when you can get a 40 dollar massage not less then a block from the hotel at a local establishment. Room was clean but the maids insist on coming to your room every night to turn down the sheets and give you chocolates. That is nice but annoying when your in the middle of things. One night one of the maintenance men walked in to change a light bulb. We were already asleep and by the time we knew what was going on he was halfway in the door. As far as location you are stuck to the beach in front of the hotel, we tried to walk to a local lighthouse on the beach and were told that unless we were members of the hotel that was between ours and the lighthouse that we would have to turn back. You are also at the end of the street where every major bar is so at night it will be loud. I would only recommend this hotel to the people that I don't like, as far as others keep looking this one isn't worth the money.

Luxury, excellent service, and great beach.
Rooms are beautiful with direct views of the ocean. Service is wonderful. Always with a smile and genuine about being very helpful. Worth the extra dollars for the grand club level. The staff there was cheerful, helpful, and the food was the same as you would find in the restaurants but just smaller portions. Though all the staff was very helpful, Lidia Eduardo were exceptional. The only set back is the location. Close to the strip that reminds me of Las Vegas. But the beach Ian's the pool more than makes up for it. We considered Ritz Carlton and JW Marriott but when we looked at the hotels during our visit, we decided we made the right choice. We loved it so much at Fiesta Americana, we extended outstay.
