Celuisma Imperial Laguna

i knew from the begining that this was a 2 star hotel and to be honest i have to say that for the first 4 days we were getting what we paid for BUT on the 5 th day i had to go to theain desk to report that while we were out somebody search every single item we left in the room, including my wife's perfume and personal belonings..... really disapointed, i have to say that nothing was missing ( i guess because there was nothing with a real value to steal) but just the fact that someone search you baggage while your touring is not a good feeling, and when approched the front desk the person was not even taking my report as a real one, he was just stating that this kind of events does not happen in his place.... well, i know that for the most part there were other employees that really did their job and make us feel good at some point but things like this have to be reported to the public. I have to say that this is the first and last time that i will stay at this place, i rather pay more but not to have to experience this kind of things. Cancun is beautiful and we had a lot of family fun... we loved it and will be back some time in the future.

Save your time and spend a little more money, no working pool wifi only on a 3 by 5 area. Left the hotel the same I got there had to paid more money to relocate, spend less before you get there.. I was being cheap not worth it. Skip this place trust me....

The hotel is very ordinary guesthouse like. Don't expect anything out of the world. You get a clean bed, a working AC, no curfew and a clean bathroom. It's perfect if you're on a budget or just need a place to crash. The hotel staff is really friendly, always a plus point. Tip the maid that cleans your room in the beginning of your stay. There's a 2 key locker inside the main office to keep your valuables. They also take care of your laptop if you want them to. The location is perfect. Small roadside food stalls right outside the hotel street. Supermarket and Pharmacy too. Busstop is 5 more minutes from the supermarket/roadside food stall area. Clubs are 15 minutes walking. All in all, a great location.

Rooms were dirty.. half of equipments were broken.

We had problems with the toilet flushing. It took them a couple of days to fix it correctly. The shower was cold. There were mosquitoes and red ants in my room. The bed sheets did not look clean. Things were old and outdated but that was okay. The location was great. The view was great also. I just really hated the ants and the mosquitoes in the room. The only time I was ever bitten in Cancun was in the hotel room around my ankles and legs. I had about 7 bits total. My roommate had none.

If you are looking for vacation on a budget that is still conveniently located within the hotel zone than put this hotel on your list. Amenities are old and need some maintenance. However, staff is friendly and helpful and the place is clean. Breakfast is very basic (toast, butter, strawberry jam, and coffee. If you go early there might be some pastries and sometimes cereals and milk). Rooms have a refrigerator and dishes and you can upgrade your breakfast with items from the nearby supermarket. The place is especially interesting for those who wish to avoid the noise and tourist buzz of the big hotels. The courtyard is well maintained with a pool where you can mostly enjoy quiet relaxation. The restaurant offers a good variety of food and drinks. While you wait for your order watch the birds and crocodiles at the Lagoon.

the laguna hotel has a great pool for swimming and getting some sun, no poolside bar. my room had a balcony with a view of the bay as opposed to the ocean. the hotel is right next to a good priced golf course and four taco / mexi fast food vendors all quite tasty and reasonable. it is not on the beach and about six blocks from the cancun nightclub area, that did not concern me, a fine place for four or five nights, with continental breakfast included.

Overall you get what you pay for. The ac was not working in our room but the staff was nice enough to change us to another room. They only give bath towels felt like i was missing hand towels. The building's exterior needs some work. There is no near public beach without taking the bus.
