Location
Situated on 500 metres of private beachfront, this property is only a kilometre from the main harbour of Langkawi, three kilometres from Kuah's duty-free shopping centres, and 30 minutes from the Langkawi International Airport.

Compulsory New Year's Eve dinner
There is a compulsory New Year's Eve gala dinner on December 31, 2013. The cost is MYR1200 net per person for adults and MYR400 net for children (ages 10 - 12). Gala Dinner charges for 2 adults included in total room rate, Gala Dinner charges for children will be collected upon arrival.

We stayed at the Westin Langkawi for three nights, it was for the Easter Break. The first night we checked in, they gave me a non smoking room. The next day when I requested a smoking room and had to write a stern mail to the Westin, things got better and just kept getting better. They upgraded us to an Ocean view room. The service was great specially from two people Azmi and Nor who were very helpful. All in all, a good place (with minor hiccups). I look forward to staying there again, given the great experience I had, thanks to the good hotel staff.

Short drive from hotel
Eat at the live seafood restaurant near Westin, and dont miss the sea food barbecue on Friday nights by the pool; book in advance for the bbq though

Fantastic Location

Very nice hotel, minimal things we didnt like
Great hotel, the rooms are very nice, very clean, the facilities are great, the views are amazing. I recommend renting a car cuz getting out of the hotel without a vehicle can be tiring. The backsides: Definitely can't swim in the beach cuz there is like a seaweed agglomeration there... the sand is also not so fine. Staff is very friendly and polite... but sometimes slow to meet some basic requests.

Perfect place to relax!
The hotel is absolutely FAB! Fantastic locaction, great beach and marvelous SPA complex that will allow you to relax and get rid of your stress! I will certainly come back there!

Had an amazing romantic stay well needed, the hotel was simply amazing very beautiful a must see. Just the buffet dinners were a little expensive however well worth it everything was so fresh. Will definetly recommend.

The resort is beautiful and the grounds are immaculate. The pool is stunning and the service was top notch. The only downfalls are: the food at the restaurants (apart from breakfast) was average and the beach is not very nice (rocky sand, murky water and slimy bottom)! Overall, I really enjoyed my stay!

good hotel, probably the best
good hotel, probably the best in this part of the island, but nothing special. was a bit dissappointed by the restaurant, which is pricey but is not v.good. Area is dull, so better head for the north-west part of Langkawi

The Westin Langkawi Resort and Spa, was a fabulous resort. The staff, facilities, rooms, service was amazing and so was the pricing. This is a very nice place to stay for relaxing, many pools, restaurants and gardens to walk through. Photos of this hotel do not do it justice, i would not hesitate to stay here again.

We loved this resort and would happily suggest it to anyone. The staff could not do enough to help, food was plentiful, fresh and catered for all diets. We had some 'minor' concerns and were most impressed with the professional and prompt matter it was dealt with - thanks to Gigi and Robbie. The main pool was perfect for swimming in - no chlorine smell and absolutly clean. Grounds were impressive & beach lovely. We dined at 'Tides' a couple of times for lunch and YUM!!! Wine & drink list was extensive and quite reasonably priced. Tour office staff were helpful with suggesting which day trips to take & once again, these were reasonably priced. All in all, a great place to stay and relax.
