Paradise...

Honestly, I have dreamed about this place for so many years. A gorgeous, local, friendly hotel right on the beach with the kind of vibes that you ONLY get in Jamaica. I really could not have asked for anything more. The staff made you feel like family, the food was fresh, reasonably priced and could be tailored to fit your needs, there were activities of every kind you can imagine on the beach but also room to totally chill and get some quiet time. This is the perfect holiday destination whether you are with friends, family or on your own. I came here with friends and I will be coming back with my husband and future kids! I would recommend it without the slightest hesitation, and will be returning as soon as I possibly can! Thank you!!

Perfect place to stay in Negril!

I couldn't believe the value in staying at Travelers. The rates were just about the best in all of Negril. The owners and staff really go out of their way to make sure you have all the you need to be comfortable and relaxed while staying with them. The rooms could use some updating but the A/C worked great whenever I needed it. The bar/restaurant was right on the beach. I great place to start and end the day. Fantastic breakfast. The Karaoke nights on Friday and Sunday are not to be missed! They have a great pool, fitness center, and nail spa. Close walk along the beach or road to shops in town. Many restaurants are a close walk. My room on the second floor had an ocean view from the balcony! The Wellington family will make sure you have a great stay! I will be back.

Great Value, Great Service

If you are looking for a comfortable hotel that allows you to embrace Negril, then this is it! Located right on the beach and close to town it 's perfect for avoiding the local "hagglers" that are towards the other end of the beach. You can take a cab down to the other end of the beach for $5 or less. Lots of great huts around to eat and the pool is a great escape from the beach. If you're looking for a fancy all-inclusive resort, then this is not for you. If you're looking for a great place to stay with great people, then you'll love this place. My friend and I went for six days and loved embracing all Negril had to offer while using Travellers as our home base. The only negative I can state is water pressure. A few times my friend took her shower, but then I didn't have water pressure. I simply addressed this w/the desk and within 5 minutes the pressure was back (something w/a pump I believe). All-in-all this is a great place and we will be going back later this year with my friends six year old.

We flew from NY to Jamaica. Both of us packed food in our checked bags to snack on. We bought a few jugs of water at a local shop a few hundred feet from the hotel and kept them in our fridge. It saved us money and ensured we had cold water and muchies all week.

Very well located - Very clean

This hotel is not proposing luxury accomodation, but it provides a very good overall compromise between comfort/cleanlyness, good location, convenient beach restaurant. Many activities are organized precisely at the hotel beach footstep such as Jet Ski, Dive center, Snorkeling trips etc... I recommend this hotel if you travel with family.

A Very Nice Resort!

If you can accept the fact that the amenities are somewhere stuck in the 1970s, then your stay will be just Perfect! The community of rooms/bungalows is simply beautiful! Everyone is friendly. The food is good. Karaoke and Jazz Night are Excellent. The location, in the heart of the community is fabulous. There is a walk to an ATM machine; approx. 10 minutes. The beach; heaven. I would go again!!

Traveller's Beach Resort/Hotel

Overall the hotel was OK, clean. Staff was friendly. However, only downside, they claim they don't have keys for the safes in the rooms. Your option is to rent a mobile safe for $5.00 a day. We said we'd put our money in our friends safe in their room, they said the same thing. No key. Seems as though they are trying to make extra bucks where they can. The safes should be offered at no charge. They did have a maintenance guy that said he would replace the safe, but they are all looking for tips for everything they do. Shouldn't have to tip a maintenance man to replace a safe that is broken or has no key. The next day talked to a different person, she said same thing, rent a safe or the other option was to put your money in their safe behind the desk. They have camera's. I don't think so. I wouldn't trust anyone their with my money. I personally wouldn't go back. They have little beach, it's all been washed away by the storms. Negril in general is dirty and everyone has their hand out hassling you constantly. Trying to sell you weed or aloe vera they plucked from a plant near by.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

If you stay at Travellers, walk directly across the street to the little shack in the back. Little old lady out of her home/shack kitchen cooks the best fried chicken you'll ever have, and it's cheap, $5.00. Don't be afraid of the unsightly location. It's good.

Negril

The hotel was extremely loud, there were people walking around outside banging on the doors. The water wasn't working when I woke up and it had just turned on by the time I was ready to check out. When I pay for a hotel, I expect to be able to shower and brush my teeth in it too. The staff at the front desk was friendly, at the bar they took no notice to you.
