Just what the doctor ordered

I went to Negril to get some rest and relaxation. Sandy Haven Resort was just what I needed. From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed. The staff is very friendly and treated me like family throughout my stay. I have never stayed in a small hotel before. This was a real treat. I met the owners, who were constantly walking around and mingling with the guests. The food at Bongo's was fabulous. I spent most of my time on the beach, which was my reason for going to Negril. Everything about the resort was well appointed and up to date. I loved the rain shower in the guest room. Also, the massages were the best that I have ever had (and I've had more than a few). The only complaints that I have is that the resort is right next to a night club and music was blasting all night. I'm told that they have sound-proofed the windows but that didn't help. Also the matress in my room was quite hard. It is advertised as a King-sized bed, but it is actually two twin beds pushed together. The space between the two was quite evident. I guess that's why they say that your room can either have two twin beds or a king bed. No queen size. This was a great trip for me and I was able to return home rested and refreshed. Mission accomplished.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

Time Square shopping mall is quite nice. The vendors don't bother you the way they would on the street.
