Explore tropical wonders of Negril at budget friendly beachfront resort

The condominium-style Negril Beach Club Resort caters to guests wishing to explore Negril's natural beauty and attractions. The resort is located on Seven Mile Beach, a playground for water sports, walking or lounging. A short trip brings guests to Negril's other natural wonder, its dramatic cliffs, famous for its acrobatic divers, sunsets and hip bars. The resort's pool bar pours fresh tropical libations and the restaurant offers tempting dishes, including lobster, in a charming open-air setting. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance.

Highlights
  • Prime location on Seven Mile Beach
  • Near Negril's famous cliffs
  • Short walk to shopping, restaurants
  • Charming restaurant, beach bar
Rooms

The condominiums and studios occupy low-rise structures just steps from the stunning white-sand Seven Mile Beach. Guests of the Negril Beach Club Resort choose from three room categories -- studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Studios have king or two double beds, fully-equipped kitchenettes and balconies overlooking pool and gardens. Apartments have living rooms and kitchens. All include air conditioning and TV.

Features

Negril Beach Club Resort guests gravitate to Jamaica's most popular beach for relaxation and recreation. Water sports such as windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, deep sea fishing and parasailing are available nearby. Next door to the resort is the Negril Scuba Centre, where guests arrange dive packages and certification at various levels. For more relaxing endeavors, lounge with a book or take a casual beach walk for people-watching. The hotel's rustic beach bar serves refreshing tropical cocktails and Red Stripes.

The Negril Beach Club Resort is ideally located between the beach and Negril's dramatic West End cliffs, home to the popular Rick's Café and its famous cliff divers. Parts of the James Bond film "Thunderball" were filmed at this dramatic location. The coves, caves and tide pools beneath the cliffs provide excellent swimming and snorkeling. Chic bars and restaurants built into the cliffs attract crowds for dazzling sunsets.

The resort is within walking distance to duty-free shops, boutiques, food stores, restaurants and a crafts market. For a memorable dining experience, enjoy a lobster dinner at the Negril Beach Club Resort's open-air restaurant, Lingah by the Sea.

price matched the hotel

The staff was very nice especially house keeping. The tv was very old and had very few distorted channels , mold in the bathroom around floor boards. The hotel has good bones just needs a lot of TLC. The beach was beyond beautiful The life guard gary, was very nice and accomedating. If the rooms were cared for properly I would return in a heart beat.

Adequate

For a budget traveler, I would recommend this hotel. The beach is small, but beautiful. The restaurant does not have an extensive menu, but the food is excellent. Amenities are bare bones, but the staff can finagle any site-seeing excursion you desire. If you like nice resorts, this is not the place for you. But if you only need the bare minimum, this is a good choice. Bring mosquito repellent!

Great!!

from the first i was treated wonderfully, no hassles, no problems. Beach was clean, they have a small pool, with ocean right there i had no need for it. restaurant left a lot to be desired but that wasn't the draw for me. Close to town, for night time attractions, close to the high dollar resorts and clubs if you're into that. All in all, i had a great time and will book with them again!!

I HAD A GREAT VACATION THIS YEAR ALONE....LOL

I LOVE NEGRIL, THISWAS MY THIRD TIME THERE, MY THIRD STAY AT NEGRIL BEACH CLUB. I CAME ALONG THIS TIME AND STILL HAD A GREAT TIME AND GOT SOME MUCH NEEDED REST. WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT THIS LOCATION IS THE BEACH IS JUST A FEW FEET AWAY FROM MY ROOM, AND I CAN WALK INTO TOWN IN ABOUT 15MIN. THE STAFF IS GREAT AND PRETTY FRIENDLY.

Average

I stayed in two different rooms my vacation, the first room had two baths, a kitchen, a sitting area. It was ok but here and there things could use some maintaince. The second room they moved me into after a week was worse. There was always a funny smell in the bathroom. The chain from the door was broken, i had to tell them twice to fix it, got fix after 3 days. The beach area was great, just did not like that they only clean of the leaves and not the cigarettes out the sand. There is alot of kids playing there! They cleaned everyday but sheets where not change even when dirty.

Not worthy of a rating

The appearance and amenities are some of the worst that I have seen. The hotel needs a full renovation, the appliances need to be replaced, (refrigerator, microwave, stove). The room was not cleaned some days and when it was done it left me wondering if the staff understand what clean means.

The Best Budget Friendly Hotel on Negril Beach!

I always stay at NBCC when I go to Negril and its the best location on the beach for the price. I really love how this hotel gives you the real Jamaican vibe along with the vacation perks. I always stay in the studio room and its spacious and has everything you need to feel at home during your stay. The hotel is ideal for singles or groups of friends. I wouldn't suggest this property to families with kids. The best thing about this hotel is the prime location on the Negril beach strip! Walking distance to the heart of Negril. Close to shops restaurants, bars etc. The best budget friendly hotel right on the beach!

Money-saving tip: Short drive from hotel

If you get a cab into the Negril square/town for ATM shops, food etc.... Don't pay more than $300-$400JA ($4-5 USD) for a round trip from NBCC, its that close!

Nothing fancy but not bad either

This is a rather simple hotel, not at all like the fancy all inclusive resorts in Negril and Montego Bay. It's pretty laid back though and the beach section is great. Also the food and service at the Hotel Restaurant are really good. Recommended if you are on a budget.

About What I Expected

For what I paid ($38+tax+fees) it was exactly as I expected. Hideously uncomfortable bed but everything else was OK. Right on the beach and there is a nice little restaurant that was about 15 meters from my room. I needed a cheap place to stay in Negril Beach and this particular spot fit the bill nicely.

If you're looking to sample some of the local flavor, just walk down the road to the east. Met some nice people that way.

Property in decline

It has been a few years since I have stayed at this property. Time has not been its friend. The rooms and property in general are showing signs of decline. Our room was ok--we lacked light bulbs in all but two fixtures--the bathroom and kitchen area. The lack of funds to add the extra touches is quite apparent. The staff, however, was/is WONDERFUL. Friendly and accomodating. They made the stay most enjoyable.
