Rooms
The condominiums and studios occupy low-rise structures just steps from the stunning white-sand Seven Mile Beach. Guests of the Negril Beach Club Resort choose from three room categories -- studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. Studios have king or two double beds, fully-equipped kitchenettes and balconies overlooking pool and gardens. Apartments have living rooms and kitchens. All include air conditioning and TV.
Features
Negril Beach Club Resort guests gravitate to Jamaica's most popular beach for relaxation and recreation. Water sports such as windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, deep sea fishing and parasailing are available nearby. Next door to the resort is the Negril Scuba Centre, where guests arrange dive packages and certification at various levels. For more relaxing endeavors, lounge with a book or take a casual beach walk for people-watching. The hotel's rustic beach bar serves refreshing tropical cocktails and Red Stripes.
The Negril Beach Club Resort is ideally located between the beach and Negril's dramatic West End cliffs, home to the popular Rick's Café and its famous cliff divers. Parts of the James Bond film "Thunderball" were filmed at this dramatic location. The coves, caves and tide pools beneath the cliffs provide excellent swimming and snorkeling. Chic bars and restaurants built into the cliffs attract crowds for dazzling sunsets.
The resort is within walking distance to duty-free shops, boutiques, food stores, restaurants and a crafts market. For a memorable dining experience, enjoy a lobster dinner at the Negril Beach Club Resort's open-air restaurant, Lingah by the Sea.

The Dreammaker!
This is a place to go to RELAX!
When my wife walked into the room, she had a not too pleasant look on her face. We recently traveled to Las Vegas at Wynn's resort, and she may have been expecting something similar! The room itself was a little bland. HOWEVER, the hotel location, the staff, and all the friends we made in a short week were nothing short of phenominal! The sunsets were beautiful, the beach was pristine, and plenty of chairs to go around! Even better was the onsite staff: [...] is the trip planner, and got us hooked up with [...] the driver and Jamacian Philisopher! We spent two full days with [...] exploring Jamaica, and loved every minute of it!My wife and some of her new friends spent another 1/2 day with [...], the "Boat Man" learning new stuff from him!In fact, we loved it so much, we ended up buying one of the timeshare units there, so I know we'll be back!

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Within a 5-10 minute walk of Negril Beach Club is Kyoba, Travellers, NBC's on-site resturant, and an Italian one across the street about two blocks away!We also ate Southern Fried (Jamaician style) chicken from Fatties across the street. Food is plentiful, and ranges from very inexpensive ($8-10 for 2) to medium expensive for a resort ($50-80 for 2 with a couple of drinks). [...] also stopped at some roadside joints he knew and had real side-of-the-road Jamacian food! Good Stuff--You would never stop on your own, but with a guide-("No Problem Mon!)

nice place
hotel is located right on the beach. downtown is only a short walk (about 8 minutes). i think it's a great deal for the low price you pay. the rooms are large, though a bit old. i recommend going snorkeling with Captain [...] (ask any local on the beach and they'll know who he is). his station is on the beach, just east of the hotel. there are tons of places to eat on the beach. The prices are relatively comparable to that of dining in the US. However, if you're looking for a cheap meal, there are a few stands across the street from the hotel that sell jerk chicken at reasonable prices. overall, i was very happy with my stay there.

Great Location
Booked for Negril Beach Club but got Mariner's Negril instead. I knew this before I got there but even Mariner's gave me the wrong room. I was to have a studio and got a regular room with a mini fridge instead of the full kitchen. Our room was in building E which is right on the main road in Negril and the street noise was horrible ALL night long. They do not give you instructions on how to work the remote control on the A/C unit. We finally figured out that it had to be on Automatic instead of high fan in order to get the room cool. If you are used to a cool climate or cold A/C, you will never get cold in these rooms. None of the doors or windows are sealed and have huge gaps in them which lets all the A/C go outside instead of keeping the room cool. We were upgraded to a one bedroom because I complained about not having the kitchen that I was paying for. A one bedroom is a grade up from a Studio. The rooms were breathtakingly beautiful with hard wood floors, a king size bed in the bedroom, two full couches that pulled out to beds but there was no way to pull them both out at one time. We had a huge flat screen TV with HBO, SHO, ENC, Lifetime, WGN, etc that was not available in the normal room we had the first night. We had a corner room for the one bedroom and the living room had two walls that were hardwood louvre. It had French wooden doors going out onto the balcony, which over looked the parking lot. The buildings back by the beach would have been quieter and they are buildings A, B, K, & J. A motorcycle ran up and down the road in front of our room the entire night. The Louvres would not shut all the way so we could only partially cool the living room and the bedroom and kitchen were so hot we couldn't stand to be in them. We all slept in the living room on the couches. Even though they pulled out to double beds, they had springs that you could feel all night. The kingsize bed was beautiful but extremely hard. I checked under the covers to make sure it was not made out wood. We eventually stuffed paper towels into the louvres to try to plug them up to keep more cool air in the living room but it didn't help much. One afternoon there was a bad storm and the rain came through the louvres and was getting us wet and flooded part of the room. I talked to some people staying in a studio and they said their room was sealed well and they were actually cold from the A/C. The Studios have sliding glass doors rather than the louvre windows and looked like they would be a great place to stay but we were not going to move again. The staff is wonderful. I felt completely safe the entire time there. At night a security guard would always fall in beside us as we walked to our room and saw us to the stairs to our room. We did pay a guard the last night to wake us up since we had to leave at 3 in the morning to catch our flight and he never did show up. Other than that, they were all great. There is a restaurant on the beach that is outstanding. It is Lingah By The Sea. The staff was outstanding and the food was to die for. I had a lobster dinner with salad and veggies and huge lobster for $18. Other resorts for the same meal were charging $32. We tried everything on their menu and all of it was outstanding and reasonably priced. It usually ran us $20 to $45 a meal for three of us total. They have a buffet on Friday nights with live music. We liked this restaurant so much that we ate nearly all our meals there. Other places have reasonable food but this is right on the hotel grounds and great prices and great food. We would sit there andd eat our supper while watching the sun set. It was awesome!! It is an open air restaurant. The Jerk Chicken was better than any of the little shacks that sell it. Remember that all food in Jamaica is cooked AFTER you order it so don't get impatient and start ordering your meal before you are famished. It normally took about an hour to an hour and a h...

Short drive from hotel
Eat at Lingah By the Sea on the beach behind the hotel. They have the best prices and the food is great. The Beach Hut on the beach on the right of the walkway as you get to the beach of the hotel has really good prices. A short drive to Times Square shopping center... go in the back entrance and go to the third shop on your left. I don't remember the name of the shop but they had the best prices..8 T-Shirts for $20 USD. Walk along the beach to the left as you face the water and you will come to the Craft Market. They will all try to get you to come in their place to look and buy. Tell them that you are going to walk through everything and then go back through and buy and they won't be so pushy. When you find what you like, it will usually be $20 but if you haggle with them, you can get it for $15. I got some beautiful dresses for $15 each. Remember to be polite to them. If you promise to come back, then keep your word. Most of the prices are the same at each shop but the variety is different from place to place so be sure to look around well before buying.

Hidden treasure...not so much
A friend of a friend stayed at this here before and she said it was nice...LIES! I will admit that the property had great potential. The landscape was nice but not used to its full potential. The pool was small and looked infested (I wouldn't swim in it), the jacuzzi...didn't even look at it. The rooms are dingy and outdated. We had cockroaches in our room and when we told the front desk, they didn't really offer any solutions. I know it's Jamaica, but I shouldn't have to worry about bugs crawling into my suitcase (not on my vacation, for which I spent a good amount of money). The location is all right. There were a number of restaurants and hotels. We had to find them on our own though because the front desk is not very helpful with finding local activities. Overall, I would not recommend staying here. It was not a good experience. I found myself wishing I was back at home. We actually disliked it so much that we chose to move to another resort. I lost my money but it was worth it.

The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. They were great in helping to get a driver to help me get around the island and transact business. Even on the beach they had a chair under your......... before it hit the sand !!!

A hidden gem
A very old, well kept property on the beach with loads of character. If you are unlucky to get a room in fron. Take ear plugs and head band to wear at night. It helps a lot. Bedding is not changed daily just made up, so takesome spray Lysol or Fabreez to spray on sheets. Take a beach float to put on the hard plastic lounge chairs. Take your own toiletries, nothing is provided. Take your own beach towels. The town is a ten minute walk with a supermarket. Restaurants up and down the beachand also across the street. My week here consisted ofno shoes, bathing suits and shorts. Plenty of water sports and vendors selling everything from fruits and meat patties, jerk pork, bread fruit just watch and listen they all come to you. Its a great place for younge families and retirees ENJOY!!!
