Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort Montego Bay All Inclusive

ENTERTAINMENT WAS GOOD BUT THE SAME AS LAST YEAR. THEY COULD MAYBE GET SOME DIFFERENT ACTS. THEY ARE IN THE PROCESS OF REBRANDING THE HOTEL WHICH IT NEEDS WITH UPGRADING THE HOTEL, BUT WHAT THEY LACK THERE THEY MORE THAN MAKE UP WITHE STAFF FROM TOP TO BOTTOM THEY ARE THE BEST. THEY ARE LIKE A FAMILY THERE AND THEY TREAT YOU LIKE ONE OF THERE OWN , SOME OF THEM REMEMBERED US FROM LAST YEAR. THE STAFF KEEPS THE PROPERTY CLEANED UP . I DON'T THINK WE SAW A USED GLASS OR PLATE LEFT ALONE FOR MORE THAN A MINUTE BEFORE SOME ONE PICKED IT UP " GREAT JOB". VERY RELAXING... WERE GOING BACK

The Holiday Inn SunSpree is located in a perfect location. The staff and service was fantastic, making our stay there very memorable. We will definitely return to the hotel with kids on our next visit. Montego Bay was awesome!!!

My girlfriend and I were worried about a good location and service and this hotel had all that we needed! 90% of the staff was awesome and food was delicious! The front desk staff was not too pleasing but accomodated your needs...

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort for 6 nights. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was well kept. My only complaints were that the taxi rides were expensive and the mattress in the room was too hard, but who is going to stay in the room all day!

Nice resort. On the ocean and only a few minutes from the airport... a big plus! Some great amenities such as stage entertainment throughout the day/evening. Love that they have their own private island! Some of the amenities, however, such as paddle boats always seem to be closed regardless of the weather/ocean conditions. The mini-golf course is in disrepair and looks like it hasn't been played since the resort opened. Other amenities such as the game tables are taken over by children literally the entire day. Resort is clean. Rooms are comfortable overall but for some reason I woke up each morning with a sore and stiff neck which ached throughout the day. The staff was great. Always very helpful and sincere. There are multiple dining options. The finer dining restaurants are nice, but note they only allow 1 visit to each per 7 day stay at the resort. We didn't appreciate that they "say" reservations must be made 24 hours in advance or less. Several times we tried booking for the following evening only to be told they were booked. So in these cases we're talking 36 hours in advance. When we were able to book a reservation we found the restaurant 80% empty. I would hardly call that "booked." Regardless the food was overall quite good. A negative on the food was the variety and the seafood quality. The fish tasted like it was reheated frozen cuts. Very rubbery and chewy. Not fresh at all. I thought it might just be a bad piece, however we noticed all the seafood we tried throughout our stay was of the same quality. The variety was only average. Compared to other all-inclusive resorts we've stayed at this one has had the least number of options to choose from. Regarding the value, I rated it a 2 because of the cost. The cost for this resort was literally 2x to 3x what we have paid at other resorts. Those other stays were 2 and 4 days longer than this stay! Overall the resort is Average. If you've stayed at all-inclusive resorts in the past this one won't blow you away. On the other hand the convenience of having everything you need within reach is certainly worth some added value. Shop around but don't count this one out.

Our third stay at Sunspree and this trip was very relaxing. You get what you pay for, never a shortage of anything to eat, if you don't care for something on the buffet or menu there will be something that you will like. This is a three star but is always clean, staff is very friendly and the drinks are always satisfying. Take a large mug and they will gladley fill it for you and it will stay cold with less trips to the bar. This trip was just to relax so the only excrusion we took was the booze cruise, snorkeling off a catamaran and a stop at Margaritaville always a lot of fun for all ages.

Room was not ready until after 4pm. You can no longer eat inside of your room

When we arrived, we had a welcome cocktail and the good service just continued. Staff was Very curtious and friendly. Only problem is it was my 65th bday on the 31st and I called ahead couple times to request 4th floor ocean front and we were given first floor where all you could see from the patio was the bushes. By 5 Friday we moved and were given 4th floor ocean front with balcony and a fruit platter and water compliments of the hotel so all's well that ended well.

Just got back from a 5-day stay at Holiday Inn Sunspree! First I have to say is it is like being on a private Island when you look out at the ocean you don't see land anywhere! The staff is excellent, they are VERY friendly! The room was very clean, got serviced everyday, and yes they do fill your amenities. Only complaint is the noisy A/C. I did not find the food terrible, in fact the buffet food is fresh and includes daily local dishes. The four a la carte restaurants are mediocre though and can be skipped with no great harm. Service at the buffet was quick, helpful and always came with a smile! We were never bored in the evenings as the entertainment was very good. Also they have some of the best snorkling areas around! Plenty bars to get a drink all day and night though I was disappointed that none of them had fresh limes or lemons. Overall we thought it was a great deal for the money and would return again

Staff were not friendly at all and the choice for food was very limited and always cold. buffet food all the time or pay to upgrade when this was to be all inclusive. only strong point was clean rooms. wait staff need to be more sanitary in food service. Saw a waitress combine three glasses of wine into one and then serve to customer.NOT COOL I would never recomend or return to this place again.
