Great time with the family!
Everything was great at this resort except the buffet and free in-room WIFI. The buffet had the same thing every day, very few changes and not much excitement. On a good day you could maybe find the free WIFI with 2 bars. The positive side was great food in the other restaurants, friendly staff, and good weather.

FRIENDLIEST RESORT

RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET AND 2 BEAUTIFUL SHOPS ON SITE. THEY ALSO BRING IN VENDORS 3 TO 4 TIMES A WEEK WITH GREAT STUFF.

Needs some Holiday Inn updates
This resort has lots off issues and is in need of lots of updates we had a good time but when you are there for a 20th wedding renewal and annv. you should have a great or wonderful time. I was thankful they didn't lose power during Sandy but would of love to had one thing goes as planned and not of had a room that leaked and also not be so broken. The wall was away from the door frame, and we understand Jamaica is a place with less money but the owners have money. I would love to back but not sure if i would go there.

It is across the street and as long you can know when to say no thank you and says thanks when leaving the shops it's all good. I would not go on the shopping tour to the craft market. Recommend only if they upgrade

Great for couples or families
The resort has lots of amenities and activities for all ages. If you're a couple looking for alone time or other adults there is an adult pool with swim up bar and the adult only beach. Its located nicely on the opposite side from the larger family and children's pool and beaches. Stay in buildings 6 or 7 if you like quiet. There is a small island off the beach you can walk thru the water to get too. A very nice touch, very relaxing. The room was average, could use a little updating, but comfortable. It seems like all rooms have a porch/balcony. Very relaxing to sit on the balcony and watch the ocean with your morning coffee. The buffet was usually good with a nice variety from day to day. Make reservations very early for any of the restaurants. The buffet was just as good or better than any of the restaurants.

In Hotel
If you like quiet stay in buildings 6 or 7. Its a little farther walk to main dining area and lobby, but worth it for the quiet. Take a large insulated mug if you like to drink. Less trips back and forth to bar and your drink stays a lot colder longer.

Not too bad for family vacation
My room was well taken care of. The wait staff was friendly. The beach I find was a bit small. Some upgrade needed to the building. Guest parking should much closer. My family came to visit me I was told by security they can't visit my room. I was not impress by that no one can pay you visit.

Wheelchair travel
Our adult son is in a wheelchair. This resort was very HP friendly. We had an HP accessible room, which meant the bathroom had a wide door and a bathtub seat. That was very helpful. The standard room was small, but clean. AC worked well. Bed was comfy. They were a little stingy with shampoo. Glad I brought some of my own. There were a couple of places where the sidewalk was close to the water. It was only a short walk to get into the water. That was helpful as wheelchairs do not roll on sand. But we did have to go out early to claim chairs in the shade at that location. I was disappointed that the water was too shallow for swimming. During high tide our son could float on a raft, but not at low tide. There were a few rocky places good for snorkeling. Bring water shoes and watch out for sea urchins in the rocks and grassy areas. The pool was rather shallow too. Good for kids I guess.

Short drive from hotel
Hired a taxi guide, Gregory Peck, to take us to the Falmouth Crocodile Swamp. We selected it because it was close and level. The walkway was gravel and very hard to push a wheelchair. Gregory took us on a little extra tour. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining.
