The value was wonderful

We went for a wedding, the price was wonderful, the staff was just great and could not do enough for you. The only down fall, if you don't like to walk some of the buildings are somewhat far from the main lobby so be sure to ask for one close to the lobby if this is an issue. They do have transport all day and night. I would also say to book transport to and from the airport taxi is very high.

This was not Mexico

It was good, but we got spoiled when we went to the Myain Riveria last year. The differance was in the service. We did not get served drinks by the pool we had to go get them. When we were hungry for lunch we did not get served by the pool we had to go to the resturant. Finally, when we went out to eat in Mexico we could wear our vacation shorts and golf shirts and go to any of the 7 five star restuarants and eat, but at the Grand Palladium we could only eat at a couple of places unless we had long pants and a dress shirt. We go on vacation to get away from that dress. The staff was very pleasant, but the beach was very rocky to walk on. Over all we would give it 3 stars.

Excellent Vacation

Had an amazing time. Was upgraded to honeymoon suite. Loved the room, food, beaches, drinks, and views from every location. Had trouble getting minibar restocked consistently and checkin took a little longer than I hoped after a long day of travel. Most of the staff was warm and friendly while a few others were not as nice or accommodating. Never got harrassed for tips but we tipped on our own. Going back for a week in June so the few issues we had didnt come close to the wonderful experience we had. They should offer room service as well as drink service at the beaches and pools. Definitely recommend.

A great family vacation

We vacationed during spring break and were delighted to be joined by other families on vacation rather than extreme "spring breakers." The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The beds weren't uncomfortable but were not the most comfortable I've slept in. I strongly recommend Grand Palladium! I can't wait to go back!

Woohoo....Spring Break!

AMAZING TRIP! No complaints except I had to leave. The room was large and very nice. The 1 mentionable thing is air conditioner did not cool to American standards. However, after the first night, we didn't need it anyway..we just thought we did. Food great! Beach front great! Activities great, even entertained the teenagers! Bartenders great! Grounds beautiful! We zip lined and walked Dunn's Fall. Both worthy of doing!

Very Nice Vacation Site

The buffet food was very good quality and the 7 a la carte restaurants offered a lot of selection each evening. The servers were very friendly and occassionally went the extra mile to make you feel welcome. There was evening entertainment most evenings. The quality of the enterainers was very good but.... there was very little variety in the entertainment, and the sound systems were so loud that my spouse refused to go during our second week because of the loudness of the music and MC. We have been to 2 hotels in Mexico where the nightly entertianment was differnet every night besides having regional theme nights that concentrated on dancing, there was a comedy night, magician night, and circque du soleil night (good knock-off) among other entertainment. For our style of vacationing the nightly entertainment is the difference between very good and exceptional.

In general people was very nice

This is my second time at this location. The Place is beautiful. But this time it felt like management changed. I had a noise in room on top of me. I was offered to pay $50 room upgrade in cash instead of $105 on the account. I saw employees taken food into the napkins left and right in the restaurant, which was never allowed before. It just less professional over all and I see it as a management fault. Thank you!

Amazing Trip and Beauty Galore!

My husband and I just returned from the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort and Spa and our experience was fantastic. We stayed on the Jamaica side - Lady Hamilton appeared to be nice as well. The beauty of the ocean every morning - we had an ocean front view and loved it! The variety of food to eat everyday was great, the buffet and all of the other fantastic restaurants to chooose from was awesome. I definitely recommend Bubba's steak house - and the staff is superb! Nightly entertainment - live bands and the POP - People of Palladium - did a great job entertaining the children as well as adults. I didn't want to leave. However, I would definitely recommend this 4 star hotel - we will definitely go back. We went on two excursions - Montego Bay shopping trip - awesome! and to Dunn Rivers Fall - whew the cataraman trip was super amazing - dancing and singing and enjoying the beauty, snorkeling and eating. I could go on and on. There was nothing missing that would have made our stay more enjoyable. This trip compared well with our last trip to Cancun, Mexico. Before leaving for this resort, we read reviews and there were many comments about the staff and Jamaican people not being friendly - we did not find this to be true at all. Sometimes a person may have a bad experience, or just have a bad attitude themselves, or whatever and could ruin it for others. We met a couple from New York who said they almost didn't come to Jamaica because of bad reviews, and they said they are so glad they ignored those - so don't let anyone ruin this for you - Come to Jamaica to this resort. I loved their motto: It's no problem mon; only a situation You'll have a grand time if you go!

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

We learned that when you travel to Montego Bay for the shopping excursion. Although, the first stop is supposed to be the best in low prices, this may not be necessarily true. Lots of bargaining takes place, but we found the same bag at the high end shopping site for $12.00 less - needless to say, I wasn't happy. Especially since we were told repeatedly that the first stop would definitely have the lowest prices. I guess I would say try not to buy everything at the first stop, because you may find the same item at the second stop (which is the higher end shopping experience). It still was a great time!

Great time with the family

Beautiful location, excellent restaurants, lots of fun for the kids. The kids club was more for the younger kids but we still found lots to do with my 7 and 9 years olds.
