Free breakfast a bit of a con!
I usually stay at the Pegasus, when I come to Jamaica but the breakfast is not included in the rate and can be quite expensive. So I decided to book Knutsford Court purely on the basis of the free breakfast. When I come to Jamaica I always want to have the traditional Jamaican food for breakfast. Imagine my suprise when going into breakfast to be presented with a quite extensive menu card for all the Jamaican food none of which was included in the so called "free breakfast" I queried this and was told the continental breakfast was free, which comprised of some sort of flan, toast ,fresh fruit not what I expecting at all. So I ordered the traditional breakfast from the menu and what arrived was a nouvelle cuisine version, consisting of tiny cocktail sized fried dumplings, portion controlled saltfish and ackee, All for US $30! Fellow travellers beware it seems there is no such thing as a "free breakfast' if you want traditional Jamaican food that is. Apart from that the Knutsford Court is a really nice hotel just off the main Knutsford Boulevard. the staff were extremely helpful and the rooms were clean and well presented. Didn't get five stars because of the breakfast!

Convenient and appropriate for short stays.
Lived up to my expectation of three stars. In spite of this they need to clean the carpets using a vacuum. Brooms can't handle it. Eggs from buffet breakfast were cooked til they tasted like rubber.

Although my room was perfect and the hotel and grounds were beautiful, the service was not exactly on par. After travelling for 17 hours to get to my destination, the hotel staff did not acknowledge that I was standing at the desk to get checked in. 45 minutes to receive my meal at the hotel restaurant was also unacceptable.

Not the best experience
Overall, the hotel had a lot to be desired. Upon arrival, I discovered that almost everything on the reservation was wrong . The only thing that was correct was my name. Rather than using the reservation information, they used their guest history. That is, they used a prior guest's address and phone number in my reservation. In addition, the type of room was incorrect. There was no elevator (had to walked up 2 flights of stairs with luggage) . The hotel view was horrible. Finally, they were undergoing renovation. I could have gone without the jack hammers. I would not go there again.
