Very Nice Boutique Hotel
The hotel is in a nice, quiet location about a 10 minute walk to St Marks Square and 5-8 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge. The rooms were comfortable and clean although a bit small. The staff was friendly and accomodating. A small continetal breakfest was served each day and allowed you to sit in a small center courtyard which made for a great start of the day. Excellent value for the money!

Quiet B & B
This is a basic bed and breakfast hotel but it does it very well. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful and surprisingly for such a small place, the reception was manned 24/7. Breakfast was the usual croisant and bread but they also offered some cereals, yoghurt and a limited choice of cold meat and cheese. This hotel is not next to the main tourist areas but Venice is so small that it doesn't take long to walk anywhere. It does make up for it by being closer to Fondamenta Nove, the first AliLaguna boat stop from the airport. Beware though that the ACTV public transport ticket does not include AliLaguna as it is a different company.

Very cute place!
My husband and I (both in early 30s) had a great stay at Laconda (2 nts, Dec 2012). The picture in this listing does not look like the hotel that I remember, but may be from another angle. It's was very easy to walk from the Fondamente Nove stop w/ luggage. Upon check-in, we did not get any type of orientation or info re: logistics, so we ended up missing the included breakfast the first day. Even on the second day, we did not know where to go for BF - we stood around waiting a bit while the staff had a discussion, then when we asked, they just pointed us to a corner in the back of the courtyard (there is a small room behind a black metal gate door). You can grab a drink or a fresh macchiato at the bar in the warm lobby at any time, which was a nice touch. Other than some of the less-than-friendly staff, we had a wonderful stay. The room was very large and accommodating. Shower quite quite tiny, but I learned this is generally the case in Italian hotels. Would def recommend this hotel.

Great location, lot of space
We had a awesome experience. The hotel is close to forte nuove boat station. And you can take the public boats to the hotel from the airport which is a lot cheaper than a watertaxi. We loved having our own full kitchen, washing machine and dishwasher which ment we didn't have to eat out everyday. Staff was very friendly and helpfull. We had 2 aircons, one in room and one in tv room, they helped alot with the heat after exploring the island.

Short walk from hotel
There is a little wine store on the way to the coop mercado. They sell great wine for about 1,5€ per litre but you have to bring your own bottle. Its all on tap and they are great!

Centrally located it is ideal
Centrally located it is ideal to visit Venice on foot: no need to take the vaporetto [local ferry] as you can walk to many places. The breakfast buffet includes ham, cheese, yogurt, croissants and everything is very fresh. Take advantage of the beautiful "corte" if the weather allows! At walking distance there are two (small) restaurants: Mascaron and the Mascareta, worthy a visit!

Locanda La Corte
The hotel was out of the busy tourist areas of the city to give a quiet, relaxed environment. That meant a short walk to many sights and the nearest Vaporetto stop at C'dOro, but we would consider a return there, but certainly would search out a more friendly hotel. There appears to be about 3 rooms that have a view of the small canal going by the hotel, so as it turned out we did not have a canal view which was unfortunate for a long planned, highly anticipated trip of a lifetime. When I asked about the canal rooms I was met with the usual detached attitude that was expressed by the staff. I think it might be a cultural difference or a Venice thing, but the staff was never warm and inviting. They smiled and greeted you, but were never engaging and willing to step over the line to make a visit special. The most friendly staff was the breakfast waitress. She was the perfect hostess and was most kind and joyful and maids were always more friendly than the desk staff. Breakfast was good, but not eventful and was exactly the same everyday, which could be fine, but after 10 days it was enough of that. Rolls were not fresh and delicous, but meats and cheeses were very good and it was always a simple meal. The actual building and the decor was lovely and the courtyard (not able to be used at breakfast because of cooler, very early spring weather) was great. It was usuable a couple of afternoons. I would suggest Venice in April, since March is not quite warm and in bloom.

Really cosy little hotel
We just passed 4 days in Venice and booked hotel by reputation. It was worth of every penny, good situation near Rialto and St Marco. Hotel itself small, but cosy and calme. Service also really good. If we plan to go again, sure to book the same hotel.
