Domina Home Giudecca, situated on the island of the same name, was made famous over the years by the local nobility and aristocracy who transformed it into a haunt and refuge for intellectuals and artists. Long weekend easter 2013

We stayed 3 nights over Easter 2013. We chose this hotel as we had struggled to find anywhere for value on Venice island - best thing that happened to us!! The hotel is a 5 minute ride on the waterbus from St Marks square so no issue, even easy to get back at 3 in the morning!! We actually preffered being here to the thought of been constantly in the hustle & bustle. Was ideal to just get away to the peace and quiet after the day sightseeing. You really felt welcome by true Venice residents on Guiddecca. The hotel staff could not have been friendlier. Hotel was lovely and clean and well decorated. Room was in a good clean condition and more than comfortable enough. I wouldnt hesitate staying here again. Great deal on mini bar - take all contents for €15!! Bar drinks were cheap anyway. Lovely local bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk - you really felt you were away from the tourist traps on main land venice. Overall a superb hotel which helped make our trip all the more enjoyable.

Local bars are all very welcoming - way more enjoyable than the main Venice Island. Small family restaurant at Redentorre vaporetta stop was superb - only one stop down from hotel or 5 minute walk!! Great family feel, superb value, good food!!

A little out of the way, but great stay

The shower was a bit small and the bed a bit hard. Also, you need to take the vaparetto in to Venice proper. Other than those few things, it was a great stay. The distance means that the hotel is quiet. Breakfast is small, but good. The staff was nice and helpful and the room was nice and clean. If I were to go back to Venice I would stay here again!

super deal excellent

Nous avons ete agreablement surpris de notre sejour dans cet hotel, excellent dans tous les domaines: hotel refait neuf tous les equipements neufs, lits tres confortabless, climatisation excellente, salle de bain vaste et moderne, serviettes moelleuses et super grandes, petit dejeuner complet et varie, personnel competent et chaleureux. situe en face de place saint marc, sur l'ile giudecca qui est a 2 stations de la place saint marc, 2lignes la deservent le # 2 et le #4 ainsi que le #N pour la nuit. je le conseille vivement a tous ceux qui veulent passer un bon sejour a Venise. j'y reviendrai !!!! Barbara et Felix Paris sejour en fevrier 2103 pendant le carnaval

Un peu déçu

Accueil sympa. Bien situé si vous voulez du calme . Proche de tout. A 5 minutes de San Marco avec vaporetto n° 2 ou 4.1 Je m attendais à un peu mieux pour un hôtel noté 4 étoiles qui est en réalité un 3 étoiles. Chambre au deuxième avec poutres apparentes mais très sombre car seulement des demis fenêtres au niveaux du sol.Préféré les chambre du 1er . Buffet petit déjeuner très restreint , automate à café (médiocre). Espresso Italien, sur demande mais excellent.

Très bon choix

Hotel très calme, bien situé, bonne qualité prix, personnelles très compétents, très serviables, très sympathiques. Petit déjeuné copieux, qualité de propreté de l'hotel est excellente; Si je retourne à Venise nous choisirions cet hotel.
