Stunning hotel situated on the route of the world famous gondolas
The Colombina Hotel is in a superb location in the heart of Venice, very close to St Mark's Square and views of the Bridge of Sighs are to be had from some of its rooms. The hotel is situated in a quiet area overlooking where the gondoliers float by. Despite the hotel's noble decor, the Colombina Hotel has all the modern amenities guests would expect to find in other establishments of this standard. A lobby area is located upstairs, providing a private terrace that offers guests a wonderful view over the Venice rooftops where they can enjoy a coffee and snacks.

Great location, uncomfortable bedding
The location is great, close to San Marco Square. The staff was polite, helpful and attentive AND the free breakfast (which was not advertised at the time of my booking) was a nice continental spread. My only complaint was the bedding, the mattress was hard as cardboard and the pillows were the same. The staff provided extra pillows on our request, but more of the same stock. However, after speaking with three other travelers in the airport (we were all bumped from our flight), they had the same experience with their hotels. I would go back to this hotel, but bring my own pillow.

Even though the private water taxi is about 120Euro (per taxi) compared to 15 Euro (per person) for the public water bus, take the taxi. It is so much faster, more comfortable and will drop you off right at your hotel.

Venice Hopper
Wonderful place
It was great to stay at the center of Venezia. The room is nice and cozy. Everything are located within walking distance.

Venice Hopper
Good start to Venice strolling
We enjoyed the stay over there very much. The location is perfect for sightseeing, especially Basilica di San Marco, its Campanile and Palazzo Ducale. You can use San Zaccaria or San Marco to access from airport by ship transport. The hotel staff are very friendly but they do not forget politeness. Room is relatively small but the average size of Venice in this price range. Cosyness and cleanness of the room will make you relax. The breakfast is no-distictive continental but good for early morning start. I strongly recommend this hotel for the ones who wants to stroll around Venice as short-term tourists.

Good value for your money
A little difficult to find, but that is bout true for most hotels in Venice. Once you unpack, you are only 2 blocks away from St. Mark's Square and many other attractions. Excellent breakfast (included in your hotel fee). Friendly and helpful staff. Most of them speak several languages, including English. You can also have a water taxi take you from the hotel door to the rail station or marco Polo airport (100 Euros to the airport, but worth it if you travel with small children, old people or in a group).

Hotel Columbina Venise (San Marco)
Personnels irréprochable. Bon emplacement pour visiter Venise. Insonorisation entre chambre laisse à désirer(selon voisin), hotel calme . Equipement chambre peut mieux faire pour le prix !. Satisfaisant dans l'ensemble.

Un agréable séjour ou l'on a envie de revenir.
LES+ hôtel calme situé à 2 minutes de la place San Marco, personnel parlant français très prévenant, offres de promenades.La propreté est la règle. LES- Difficultés pour réguler la température de la chambre. Salle de petit déjeuner attenante a la chambre donc bruyante le matin. Le buffet est un peu pauvre mais suffisant. Conclusion: Nous avons apprécié notre séjour au Colombina et nous y retournerons.

Un agréable séjour ou l'on a envie de revenir.
Les + L'hôtel est très bien placé au calme mais à deux minutes de la place San Marco. Le personnel est à l'écoute et tout le monde parle le français. Propositions de divertissements mais sans insistances. La propreté de cet hôtel est sans faille.Notre chambre était spacieuse. Les- Difficultés pour réguler le chauffage. Le buffet est un peu pauvre mais suffisant. Un peu de bruit le matin dû au service du petit déjeuner attenant à la chambre. Dans l'ensemble nous avons été très satisfait et nous retournerons au Colombina .
