Stunning hotel situated on the route of the world famous gondolas
The Colombina Hotel is in a superb location in the heart of Venice, very close to St Mark's Square and views of the Bridge of Sighs are to be had from some of its rooms. The hotel is situated in a quiet area overlooking where the gondoliers float by. Despite the hotel's noble decor, the Colombina Hotel has all the modern amenities guests would expect to find in other establishments of this standard. A lobby area is located upstairs, providing a private terrace that offers guests a wonderful view over the Venice rooftops where they can enjoy a coffee and snacks.

Romantic Little Place
The hotel location is great; short walk to St. Marco square and the pier, The Venetian style breakfast room is very lovely. We got a very decent price and it was well worth it. I would absolutely stay here again.

Great location, uncomfortable bedding
The location is great, close to San Marco Square. The staff was polite, helpful and attentive AND the free breakfast (which was not advertised at the time of my booking) was a nice continental spread. My only complaint was the bedding, the mattress was hard as cardboard and the pillows were the same. The staff provided extra pillows on our request, but more of the same stock. However, after speaking with three other travelers in the airport (we were all bumped from our flight), they had the same experience with their hotels. I would go back to this hotel, but bring my own pillow.

Even though the private water taxi is about 120Euro (per taxi) compared to 15 Euro (per person) for the public water bus, take the taxi. It is so much faster, more comfortable and will drop you off right at your hotel.

Venice Hopper
Good start to Venice strolling
We enjoyed the stay over there very much. The location is perfect for sightseeing, especially Basilica di San Marco, its Campanile and Palazzo Ducale. You can use San Zaccaria or San Marco to access from airport by ship transport. The hotel staff are very friendly but they do not forget politeness. Room is relatively small but the average size of Venice in this price range. Cosyness and cleanness of the room will make you relax. The breakfast is no-distictive continental but good for early morning start. I strongly recommend this hotel for the ones who wants to stroll around Venice as short-term tourists.

Good value for your money
A little difficult to find, but that is bout true for most hotels in Venice. Once you unpack, you are only 2 blocks away from St. Mark's Square and many other attractions. Excellent breakfast (included in your hotel fee). Friendly and helpful staff. Most of them speak several languages, including English. You can also have a water taxi take you from the hotel door to the rail station or marco Polo airport (100 Euros to the airport, but worth it if you travel with small children, old people or in a group).

Super sejour
L'hotel est tres bien situé, a 2 min de la place principal st marc, et a 10 min du pont Rialto. Les chambres sont tres belles et conforables. Le personnel est acceuillant et a l'ecoute. Le petit dej est tres copieux et varié!! Bref tout etait parfait sauf que nous avons trouvé qu'il manquait peut etre des elements dans la salle de bain comme du dentifrice ou de gel a raser, car c'est frequent de l'oublier en voyage, et aussi des amuses gueuls en plus des pringles. mais a part ce petit details pas tres important le sejour s'est tres bien déroulé et encore merci a l'équipe du Colombina Hotel :)

Faite plutot votre shopping de souvenir vers Rialto, c'est un peu moins chere. Et surtout ne pas se précipiter pour acheter quelque chose car souvent on trouve mieux autre part et moins chere!!

Pas un 4 étoiles mais pas mal
L'hôtel est idéalement situé sur le canal du pont des soupirs à 2 pas de la place St Marc. La réception est 4* avec un personnel souriant et parlant français (possibilité de laisser les valises le dernier jour). On a cependant pas accès au chambres 4* mais à la dépendance 3* aux chambres toutes petites mais néanmoins propres et agréables. Le fait qu'elles donnent sur la salle de petit déjeuner n'est pas super. Le petit déjeuner est décevant. Penser à réclamer un expresso dopio si on aime le café ... Séjour en tout très sympa en raison situation pittoresque ...

Colombina
Deuxième séjour au Colombina. Comme la dernière fois, malgré des tarifs très modérés (promo janvier), nous avons été surclassés dans une des chambres du bâtiment principal, au lieu de l'annexe prévu. Personnel accueillant, sobre, efficace. Service impeccable, petit déjeuner copieux. La chambre (208) est spacieuse, avec une grande salle de bain et vue sur cour. Lors de notre séjour précédant nous avions une chambre avec vue sur le canal, c'est plus agréable. L'hôtel est parfaitement situé à proximité de San Marco. Tout ceci valable pour un séjour hors saison, à vérifier pour les séjours en haute saison…
