Comfort and great value in Venice

The Al Sole Hotel provides its guests with a selection of charming, comfortable rooms and a beautiful canal-side location all set within the structure of a fascinating 15th century building. The hotel is actually part of the Palazzo Marcello, which is a historic palace that is still owned by the noble Marcello family. Despite this aristocratic heritage the Al Sole Hotel offers excellent value for the money with breakfast included in the price of the rooms. In the summer this meal is served in the beautiful garden.

We booked late for a one night

We booked late for a one night weekend stay and got the last room. The room was small but good and faced the internal garden on the first floor. The location suited us, a ten minute walk from Santa Lucia train station on a peaceful canal with a gondola waiting outside. There were plenty of places to eat and shop on the street and nearby. Piazza Sn Marco was a 40 minute walk but it was good to come back to the calm of the San Croce area for dinner. The hotel has several spacious lounge areas for relaxation. The room was clean, in good condition with a modern bathroom and quiet. The continental breakfast included cold cuts. The manager and staff were helpful with information and storage of luggage before check in and after checkout. The latter was important as it meant we could extend our last day before catching the train. Negatives- the internet is expensive. In summary, this hotel is good value for Venice and we would happily recommend to friends and stay again

Very charming location. Quite near Piazza Roma which was convenient for carrying suitcases. Good quality cafe and restaurants nearby with reasonable prices. Walking instructions from Piazza Roma to the hotel on the hotel website would be an advantage.

Sonniges Hotel!

Freundlicher Staff. wenn man den Weg so nach einigen Gassen-Irrgängen, zur Vaporetto Station San Toma findet, schöne Lage! auch das Privat-Taxi kann gut direkt vor dem Hotel halten! :-)

Nightlife tip: Long walk from hotel

oder mit dem Wassertaxi direkt zum Hintereingang des Danieli und dort in die antike Bar sitzen und sich um Jahrzehnte zurück versetzt fühlen!!

Hotel Al Sole

Pour un séjour de 4 jours à Venise en octobre, notre choix s'était porté sur cet hotel qui ne comportait que de bonnes critiques. Tarif correct, chambre donnant sur un canal, cadre agréable et petits déjeuners copieux . Autre atout : sa situation trés calme #loin de l'agitation de St Marc# et situé à 5mn de la piazzale Roma donc pratique pour l'arrivée/départ vers aéroport et l'accès aux Vaporetti du grand canal. Nous retiendrons aussi la gentillesse du personnel de l'accueil que, de plus, parle français et anglais. En résumé, un trés bon hôtel que nous recommandons aux futurs visiteurs.

Hotel agréable

Nous avons séjourné 4 nuits dans la chambre 205 avec vue sur le canal - peu d'intérêt lorsque l'on visite beaucoup, on y est que pour dormir - rue sur le canal bruyante certains jours (passage vers la gare et la plazza Roma - transports fluviaux - éboueurs ... etc) - Chambre très correcte dans l'ensemble - quelques petits détails à revoir (accrochage des rideaux) mini bar pour ceux qui le souhaitent - tapis dans les escaliers à revoir - personnel à l'écoute (accueil - bagagiste) parle le français très compréhensible - petit déjeuner assez copieux - terrasse ombragée correcte à la belle saison et plus agréable que la salle (un peu sombre)

El hotel está muy bien. Limpio

El hotel está muy bien. Limpio y con las habitaciones nuevas. El desayuno para ser en Italia, está bastante bien. El trato en recepción es perfecto, con lo cual repetiria sin dudarlo.

Hotel betreffend Lage und allgemeine

Hotel betreffend Lage und allgemeine Ausstattung sehr empfehlenswert. Zimmer über [website] sind allerdings die unattraktiven mit Aussicht auf einen Hinterhof, wo man von einem Nachbardach ins Zimmer einsteigen könnte.

nous descendons réguliérement

nous descendons réguliérement dans cet établissement , que nous aimons beaucoup pour son style venitien et son emplacement pres de la station gare , parking , facile a trouver . Un petit restau ,nouveau , en sortant à gauche 2eme rue a droite (seiche à l encre ...super !!
