Perfect place to drop bags and enjoy Rome!
This is our second stay. We like to come to Rome on the train for art exhibits, and this is the perfect place to drop our bags and explore. The rooms are small, but well appointed and organized. Hotel IQ i s simple, practical, well-priced and the staff could not be more helpful.

Hotel iq is fantastic, 2 minutes from bus terminal , 20 minutes from Trevi fountain , breakfast is well worth the 10 euros, rooftop has decking and heated seating area, vending machine is great for a late night drink after a long day sight seeing , staff very helpfull, would definitely stay here again, fantastic stay.

Clean and Modern
The IQ is very modern and very well kept, both in common areas and your room. Rooms made up daily and nothing is undone. Location is near Termini but across from the Opera. The neighborhood is user-friendly with several delicious Italian restaurants, like Est Est Est, two irish pubs, and lots of ameneties including clothes shopping. The buses run along Via Nazionale one block north and go everywhere. Several musums and ancient churches within 3 blocks. We loved the IQ. The rooms were not large, but were well turned out. Nice bath. The staff accomaded my grandson and I when my wife could not go on the trip, and made up a twin room for us from a king room. We had the best time and the weather was wonderful. Be sure and read up on the early Christian Basiicas and add them to your itinerary. The Piazza Navona area was best for al fresco dining, but everywhere we went it was awesome and comfortable. The Merulana Ristorante across from St John Giovanni was a perfect little country restorant in the middle of the city.

Clean, modern, well located
Stayed 5 days in February 2013 and walked easily everywhere from the well-situated hotel. It's couple blocks from the train station (we rode the train from the airport). Having stayed in dumpy, cramped, retrofitted European hotels with creative plumbing in the past, this was a modern, clean, well-laid-out relief! Our only (very minor) complaints were the bed was kinda firm, and we could not figure out how to get English language TV among the hundreds of channels in our room (but CNN was always running in the lobby).

Stayed on January 1, 2013. The hotel is well located, clean and the rooms have a good size. However, for $200.00+ we paid, I was expecting the hotel to be more refined.

Modern hotel in the heart of Rome.
Great hotel in the heart of Rome. 10 minute walk from Termini station; across from National Opera. Pleasant, clean interior. Rooms much larger than other hotels in area. Great vending and rooftop deck. Great amenities and convenience for a frequent traveler.

Perfect !!!
This is a great hotel in a great location. I arrived too early to check in so my luggage was kept safe while I toured. When I did check in, my room was spotless. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The washer and dryer was an added amenity you don't find much. Staying at this hotel was a very nice experience ....I hated to check out ! Super value for a new hotel in a historic city !

Good choice
Stayed in August 2012. Location is not superb, but pretty close to the main train station. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are clean, furniture and bathrooms are new. Overall modern, new and clean. Good for the price Breakfast is optional at 10 Euros per person. Free WIFI in the hotel

A great stay
Hotel was great! Room was clean and modern, great internet connection (they gave us 5 passcodes for all of our various devices). Hotel staff was great and there was a gym and a laundry! Parking was off-site but behind the hotel, so no issue. Close walk to most everything. I would stay here again.

Awesome stay!
Our three night stay at the iQ was perfect - the staff was very helpful and nice, and the rooms were absolutely spotless. The location of the hotel is PERFECT! Literally a 10-15 walk to anything, and a vet short jaunt to Termini. Many restaurants in the area, and easy to find a cab. The breakfast was fanastic for the price and what you get.. impossible to find in the area for the price. The hotel seems to cater more to American and Western European tourists (everything in English, and things that you would expect to find in American hotels). It reminds me if a skimmed down W Hotel - will definitely stay here again.

Short walk from hotel
Try to avoid eateries w/ menus in English and Italian. They are tourist traps. Trattoria's are key to amazing dining in the city.. don't be lured in by the host/hostesses on the street trying to throw a menu at you to sit down. Also be aware that most places that have outside dining charge a fee to sit there.. always ask to see a menu before you sit down.
