Located near exclusive Via Veneto, an Umbertine-style palace constructed before the turn of the 19th century, the hotel also boasts proximity to Villa Borghese and the Spanish Steps. A spa offers replenishing treatments, while rooms with ornate furnishings and deep colors feel regal. The hotel offers no restaurant on site, but the prestigious neighborhood holds many gems.

Solo female traveller
Rude staff
Despite being advertised a 4 star hotel this place is more like a 3 at best! Staff was not only very rude but most unhelpful - I landed on a Sunday and 4 of the ATM's I tried (including the one at airport) didn't work. When I asked for petty cash at reception (which ALL major hotels do offer in case of emergency) I was told they couldn't due to their ''policy''. I have never in all of my solo travels as a woman been rudely treated. Another fun item from their policy - which was proudly displayed at reception: 25 EURO early check in fee (before 2pm) 45 EURO late check out (after 6 pm) Thankfully this didn't apply to me but when I asked if one had to check in at 1:30pm would they charge 25EUROS and sure enough... the answer was yes! Daylight robbery. No self respecting hotel charges its guest for up to 2 hours either for check ins or outs. It's a customary and an unwritten rule. I would advise to stay elsewhere than this hotel with its petty policies.

Bad Start but Good Ending
I arrived at this hotel tired and hungry was deeply disappointed to hear that the rate I booked through [...]needed a Euro 40 OBLIGATORY supplement to be paid - otherwise I would have to leave the hotel. The gentleman behind the desk sheepishly asked me if MY agent ([...]) had informed me about this to which I responded no. I think someone with 20/20 vision, a flash light and a magnifying glass would have found it. TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE by HOTEL and [...]- If something is obligatory then include it in the price. :-(After that the room was above my expectations, very stylish in a yesteryear way and very comfortable. As someone who travels in large chain hotels for business this was a welcome change. The breakfast was adequate with GREAT coffee on the rooftop of the adjacent hotel which had a panoramic view over Rome's rooftops. :-)Overall I left satisfied however I would like to warn anybody who might book for more than one night to check their rate.

Good service, clean and very small rooms
The Hotel Veneto is well managed and a very nice hotel. It is a 10 minute walk from the Spanish Steps and Piazza Barbarini. The room was very clean and comfortable. The airconditioning, shower and hot water all worked well. The size of the room was very small. However, we spent very little time in the room and the bed was very comfortable.
