Una Hotel Rome

The hotel's position, 2 mins walk from the main railway station and tube line, made travel to the hotel from the airport and around Rome very easy. We had a classic room which was spotlessly clean, a huge comfy bed and great shower. However,the bed did take up most of the room - there wasn't even space to put the chair in front of the desk. From the hotel description we had expected free wi-fi but in fact we had to pay by 15 minutes. A package with wi fi and mini bar costing 80 euros for 4 nights is available - so might be worth factoring into the price. Breakfast was ok - lots of choice but the quality was very average - shop bought cake,tasteless bread, plastic tasting ham - not what I'd expect from a 4 star hotel.

I booked this hotel based on reviews and it's location. We needed a place to stay in Rome, near the Termini (main train station). Una is a very short walk from Termini, which was handy, as we were dragging 3 large suitcases and were exhausted from our long flight. The lobby was very clean and modern and the hotel staff were all very friendly. The room was up-to-date, crystal clean and roomy enough. Breakfast had an array of food served buffet-style, including several types of bread, fruit, cereal, yogurt, eggs and bacon. Looking back, I think we'd have stayed there on the back end of our cruise, even though our other hotel was closer to many tourist sites. Una is a solid choice for pre- and post-cruisers looking to stay in Rome. There are a number of restaurants, shops and gelaterias within a stone's throw. I never felt uneasy about the neighborhood (I'm a cop in the US), even walking around after dusk. My issues - minor ones - were the shower/tub and lack of English TV channels. On the shower, the glass door only spanned about half the side of the tub, which not only allowed quite a cold draft during the shower, but also did little to contain splashed water. In their defense, I don't really see how they could fix it without a big, gaudy shower curtain. And regarding the English channels, it's Italy, after all, and part of being on vacation is getting away from TV. Still...getting a news channel would have been nice. Ultimately, I'd have no problem recommending Una to anyone looking for a great value on a hotel close to Termini and the Metro. Even if the transportation isn't a priority, just about everything tourists go to Rome to see is still within walking distance and the Vatican is less than 10 minutes away on the Metro.

Great location, nice room. No complaints. For pizza get away from the touristy termini area.

wonderful, stylish, affordable and perfecto location!

We were on our first wedding anniversary and were recommended the hotel by a friend. As it was our 1st time in Rome the location couldn't have been easier to reach as its just outside the Termini train station, surrounded by restaurants and a 20min walk to the main sights its was ideal for us as we walked everywhere. The hotel itself was modern and clean, Our bed was a super duper king! and very comfy! The staff were very helpful and spoke good English! The only drawback were the breakfasts...... The usual toast, cereal, fruit, pastries etc......nothing wrong with it as such just not a great deal of choice and if you chose to not get up at the crack of dawn for brekkie like everyone else, then anything left over was cold or a bit stale. Apart from that tiny niggle I would definitely stay there again! Just remember when you check out your charged a "city tax" which was about 6Euros a night!......we didn't expect this and it made for a awkward check out experience! All in all a nice, reasonably priced hotel in a perfect location for 1st time visitors.

This hotel has a good location, it is not a very beautiful place around it's location since is a few steps away the train station. But is not ugly at all. Is a good location because you can walk to the coliseum and some other palces, also you can grab tours to the vatican and sightseeing around Rome. Also there are a lot of restaurants around the hotel. This is a nice but a little expensive hotel.

clean new and a great value compared to most hotels in Rome. Internet did not work not worth the money. Great location.

Very nice hotel. Well located near train station, but map needs to be better on web as we had trouble finding the place when we left the train station. A little pricey.
