Not close to anything
The hotel website is VERY misleading. First of all, it is about a 20 minute walk to any "close" Roman monument (Trevi fountain, Termini station, Bernini square). The hotel also promotes that it is about a 40 euro trip to the airport. However, it does not mention that it is about 40 euro to Ciampino airport (only used for travel on flights within Europe) and a trip to Fiumicino airport (for international travel to US) is capped at 48 euro within the city center. However, Hotel Turner is OUTSIDE of the city center, making it a much more expensive cab ride than what they allude to on their site. Another problem is that they are not close to any metro stop (it is at least a 25 minute walk) and the directions to get to Termini station are very confusing and unhelpful. It is a long walk when you are dragging luggage from the station to the hotel. They also promote a full breakfast, but fail to mention that if you want any protein for your morning (such as eggs or cured meats) it will be an extra 2,50 euro for each plate per day. I have stayed in many Italian hotels that boast a full breakfast (including others in Rome), and not once had this ever happened to me before. A full breakfast would include eggs, bacon, and a full selection of Italian cured meats. While the hotel itself was about average, the combined distance from anything you want to see and all of the misleading information on the website is enough to make me say I would never stay at this hotel again and would encourage others to do the same.

Sightseeing tip:
Long walk from hotel
Take a double-decker touring bus around the city to make attraction visits much more accessible. The city is huge and exhausting, you'll be thankful for the lift to your next desired stop. You can hop on and off at every major attraction all day, there is an audio guide in most, and a bus hits every stop in 30 minute increments.

DO NOT STAY HERE
Horrible experience with this hotel!! The "8" person apartment we booked was "not available" for our family of 5... so they stuck us in two non-connecting standard rooms where my husband and I had to split the kids up so we could all get some sleep... nice family vacation being separated from each other... also the toilet broke the first night. Long story short... do not stay here... it is NOT good

VERY ITALIAN GREAT VALUE
We had a ver nice stay at this charming italian hotel it was clean and the staff were friendly. The basthrood was old but well appointed and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, The local shop had all the guides you need. There was a local supermarket, market stalls and a nice clothes shop nearby, it would have been helpful if the travel agent had tod us when theses shops would not be open. Tube and bus travel was 6 euros for the day which is good and the restaurants were reasonable too. The Metro tube is a five min walk the bus just outside the hotel, perfect. Rome is fab a great short break but loads of walking.

Good value clean hotel
Good clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Large selection in the breakfast buffet. About 20 mins from Trevi Fountain/Spanish Steps on foot, Metro under 10 mins away & Termini station about 15 mins walk. Safe area & good local restaurants. Very good value for a capital city hotel. Free internet access.

When we got there, we were told no room was reserved under our name although my credit card has been charged. We got a queen bed for the three of us while we paid for three. The staff was not professional.
