Great location but needs revamping
I had lived in Rome for 5 years back in the 70s, so on this visit we chose the hotel based on location and past reviews. Also, we prefer boutique hotels as instead of the large chains. The staff are great and helpful. The lift did not work one day, and the bedding was so hard and curved that we could not get a good night sleep. The standard room was, frankly, too small and difficult

Double Booking
Arrived early morning and paid for the night before to checking after night flight. Contacted hotel beforehand to pave the way. Had to wait 30 minutes for our room. The maid was doing her last minute checks from cleaning as we approached the room that must have been doubled booked due to our early morning arrival. Wifi did not work. Hotel very noisy.

Great location, amazing terrace
Very nice hotel with great location, easy to walk to all tourist spots. A bit hard to get taxi drivers to find so print a map out to show them. Amazing roof top terrace where you can eat breakfast and an evening snack while looking out over Rome. Only thing preventing 5 stars was an odd smell throughout the hotel.

Last Night in Rome
We booked the place to have a luxurious last night in Rome. It turned out to be better than we expected. We were upgraded to the Executive Suite and enjoyed the evening on a private balcony on the roof of the hotel. It was a great, relaxing, way to end a week of experiencing the Eternal City.

Before we arrived at the hotel we emailed ahead to see if we could drop our luggage off before check-in allowing us free to explore the city quickly. The response back itself was warm and welcoming and really set our expectations for a fantastic stay, we weren't disappointed. The service from Ruby, Ivano and the others was great. The hotel itself is tucked away on a quiet street no more then a stones throw from some very impressive roman ruins and Trajan's Market. Around the corner and less then five minutes away you’re at the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. It's in a great location!! A twenty minute walk and your inside the Pantheon and the heart of the city itself. The rooms were well decorated, clean, and comfortable with hot/cold air conditioning and a really comfy bed. The bathroom as well was equally well appointed, clean and well maintained. Breakfast in the morning is served on the fourth floor and is continental, not to our particular liking but there was something there for everyone. On the second day we had fresh scrambled egg made for us along with a Caffe Latte that was fantastic. The garden and terrace when we visited were covered in snow but offered a lovely view over the ruins and the garden offers a quiet and tranquil place to relax completely forgetting your in a city at all. Overall a fantastic hotel, tucked away in the heart of Rome which has everything to offer for those looking to explore the city.

Nice hotel. Location was disappointing.
The room was very nice and the people very friendly and helpful. The breakfast location was also wonderful: Great views on the deck and a beautiful room. Being able to go to the sister hotel near the Spanish Steps for an apperatif was also very nice. The only disappointment was that it was not as close to the Forum as suggested.

Romance in Rome
You will have a little challenge locating the front door, but once you do, it is one of the most charming botique hotels you will ever stay at. Only a few rooms, but all of the highest quality and the staff is there to make your trip work. You can see Julius Caesar's forum from the roof top patio and that is just a small taste of the ambiance. Convenient to all of the historic Rome you could want, great recommendations on places to dine, help with tours and ground transportation, all in all, a fantastic hotel. My wife and I cannot wait to return.

Bon plan
