Dining

Restaurant/Dinging Information
The Apicio Restaurant offers specialties in line with current food trends, with a special eye for quality and good service. Though the menu occasionally refers to international cuisine, the restaurant mainly focuses on Italian regional food and Roman cuisine; the menu includes daily served specialities (tripe, "grigia", "amatriciana", cacio cheese and pepper, lamb etc.) cooked and guaranteed by the chef's 30-year experience. Fresh ingredients, depending on the season, original servings, and the combination of often unique flavours, convey refinement, elegance and refinedness. The wine-list is exceptional, with a range of wines matching the equally wide range of dishes included in the restaurant's menu. Breakfast: 06,30 a.m. - 10,15 a.m.

Stay at hotel

The location and everything was great. The breakfast was good and the latte nd cappuccinos were delicious. It was very frustrating with their system to be on the Internet. What a lot of wasted time and paper.

Great hotel, but maybe for older couples only

We booked a room for 2 adults and a child. On arrival we were given a room with 2 single beds placed a foot from each other, and a sofa bed. My son is 17 years old and although he is bigger than me, we had to book him as a child, so the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. I pointed this out and was given another room with the 2 single beds stuck together and still with a sofa bed. The room was clean and the facilities adequate. The breakfast was good with a lot of choices, but the cooked breakfast was always a little cold. Overall, it is a good hotel for older couples or couples with small children as it is near a lot of good restaurants and the railway station. My son found the fitness room very useful and used it every night!

So so

The room is small. The toilet is extremely small, and the ceiling is strange, and making you feel uncomfortable.

Great location, friendly staff, nice breakfast

We did not have a shower curtain nor any type of screen to prevent the shower water from drenching the floor. When I discussed this with the front desk I was informed that they were aware but the room could not accomodate any shower screen. Crazy. So we used a lot of towels.

Pleasant Hotel But With Extra Costs

We reserved this hotel because it was a 5 minute walk from the Termini. We received a complimentary upgrade when we checked in and the room was spacious with very comfortable bedding. The nice buffet breakfast was from 6:30-10:00/10:30 am. It was annoyimg that we could only get the Internet in the lobby without charge. Also, the hotel wanted to charge a fee of 3.50 Euro to use the computer to get our boarding passes. That extra fee is ridiculous after spending 3 nights at the hotel and a lot of money for the room! Charges for cleaning services were steep---6.50 Euro for a blouse. Ouch! No irons available.

nice hotel interior, totally average food, latent service

I'll keep this review short and sweet. The hotel is well maintained and the staff at the front desk is friendly. The restaurant has overpriced bland food which can easily be avoided. Breakfast is the same each and every day, so expect to eat coagulated scrambled eggs each morning. Perchance they do offer boiled or fried eggs, but it is not known publicly. Further, all the other staff take forever. Any time we called the service line to get something sent to the room, it took very long or never happened.
