PERFECT Location and HUGE rooms
This is a great hotel! It was a 5 minute walk to the Forum and the Capitoline Hill, 5 minutes to great food in Trastavere, and 10 minutes to the Colosseum. It's on an easy and direct bus line to the Vatican and really is the perfect place to start on any walking/exploration tour of the historic center. Beyond it's great location, the rooms were the largest I've ever stayed in while in Europe -- large suites even by American standards. There are two tiers of room pricing -- those that have been renovated and those that have not. We stayed in an older, non-renovated room, which had an interesting and cool 60s mod vibe. Next time I stay at this hotel, however, (and next time I'm in Rome, I will) I'll go for the more modernized rooms. Breakfast was always quick and simple, though good. The staff, both in the breakfast room and at the front desk were friendly and extremely helpful! It's all the little nice things that really start to add up, like when they provide umbrellas to borrow because it's raining and you don't have one. Very pleased with our stay there!

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
Instead of walking the main road up to the Capitoline Hill and the great views of the Forum, if you take the small pedestrian street to the right as you exit the hotel, that circles behind the hotel, you'll get to the back stairs of the Capitoline Hill in about 3 minutes. That view over the Forum is the best in all of Rome!

Great location, friendly staff
The quality / price ratio is excellent with a very friendly and helpful team, good (and included) breakfast and a location in the old city of Rome, a few hundred meters away from Circus Maximus, Mont Palatino and Coloseum.

we selected this hotel based on reviews and location. Needless to we thoroughly enjoyed . Hotel is centrally located , very clean and staff are very friendly and helpful. If we were to visit Rome for sure will stay in the same hotel. There is reasonably priced restaurant only few steps away . Highly recommend to others

Great Hotel
We stayed here for four nights. Nice place for the money. The room was very clean and a nice size. It had a separate living area with sofa and kitchenette, and bedroom. The air conditioner worked great and plenty of water pressure in the shower although it was a bit narrow. The free breakfast was nice in the morning; pastries, fresh fruit, meat, cheeses, bread, cereal. It was about a 15 minute walk to the metro station Circo Massimo and 20 minute walk to the Colosseum. It was down a quiet street. Only two restaurants close by. There was a snack shop on the corner that sold water and soda for a reasonable price.

When in Rome- Stay at Velabro!
Dont judge a book by its cover! This place is extremely nice on the inside. Located only a few hundred yards of the Roman Ancient ruins like the Forum, Colesium, and Circus Maximus this place is a great value. Their staff Rocks! They were happy to arrange airport transfers and other taxi services also they are very knowledgeable regarding the best places to eat and visit. If you have a family of 4 this is a great value. Apartment type suites available. We would surely stay here again.

Hyvän sijainnin hotelli
Siisti, moderni huoneistohotelli hyvällä paikalla lähellä Circus Maximusta ja Colosseumia. Metroasema myös melko lähellä. Hieman kylmä sisustus, kokolattiamatosta miinusta. Toimiva aamiainen.
