Small hotel walking distance to main attractions
Stayed 3 nights late January, the staff were helpful and polite. Room fine for two people and the location allowed us to walk our feet off and then catch the metro back to recover.Buffett breakfast was plentiful and advise were to eat locally - no attached restraunts ensures you explore teh local eating place. quick taxi ride from Roma Termini.

Ok I suppose
Whilst this hotel had nothing wrong with it I find very little to praise it for, staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean though we found nothing to really justify its 4* rating.

Nice Little Hotel
Ludovisi Palace feels more like an Inn. The staff are wonderful. The rooms always perfectly clean. It is well decorated and a nice place to stay. The location is just off Via Veneto, a major shopping area and a short walk to the magnificent Borghessi Park. The negatives are the WiFi which is balky. I often had to log back in and it is not very fast. The Bar is in the breakfast area, so it is far from grand, but if you want a glass of wine, the staff will get it for you. The walls are a little thin, but it is Europe. Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much and recommend it.

The Truffle Soup at Venetto Cafe around the corner is not inexpensive, but it is wonderful. And the Ferrari dealer and the Harley Dealer are nearby.

hardly 4 star
the hotel is in a lovely part of Rome and there is a Metro station close which is great. The front desk staff were wonderful and very helpful. ...although the breakfast staff were dreadful and miserable as sin and it took all our time for it not to rub off on us !!! Breakfast was just Ok and the breakfast room was so cramped it was painful to sit too long ...the worst part was the noise though..the walls of the bedrooms were paper thin and we didnt sleep for the entire 4 night trip..every word could be heard from both rooms either side of us....no tea of coffee facitilies in the room either which was a little disappointing for a 4 star hotel.

A few days in August
Hotel is in a good location, not far from Spanish Steps, Palazzo Barberini and Villa Borghese, and not far from metro stations. Nice restaurants in nearby streets. The hotel was quite smart and very clean and the buffet breakfast was very good. The room was very clean and was comfortable, but a bit smaller than others we have had previously in other hotels in Rome. The airconditioning/heating worked. The bathroom was a bit small (and we are not large), but not all of the rooms are the same - ours was a standard double/twin. The staff were pleasant, polite and helpful. We would certainly stay here again when we come back to Rome.

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
The Villa Borghese is understaffed. The queuing arrangements are inadequate. You will not be allowed to take even very small bags into the gallery. Buy tickets online before leaving home, and collect them at the ticket office at least 1 hour before your entry time, not 30 minutes as officially advised. There is one queue, and only one member of staff, for both advance ticket purchases and ticket collection, and you must then queue again to deposit all your bags etc before entry. Again there is only one person receiving bags and the queues for depositing and retrieving bags are combined, so the queue is very long. Don't wait until your entry time to deposit your bags.
