A location of the hotel is great -- I cannot say anything bad about this aspect. I would like to identify several items that I personally did not enjoy in regards to my stay there:
1. A TV set in my room was really old (probably at least ten
years old): sometimes, it turned off by itself every couple of minutes.
2. Breakfast in the hotel was way overpriced: twenty Euros per person even based on Rome's standards is above the roof.
3.Even though I paid for the room more than $165 per night, I still had to pay extra 10 Euros per day for the Internet connection. Common guys, take a look at most American hotels and learn from them.

Great Staff, Room noisy
Great Staff but the room was noisy due to traffic and single glazing which did not dampen the noise. If you go to the Cicerone, choose a room over a side street and upgrade to a non standard room as these rooms are a little basic. The breakfast
was nice and value for money was good. We would recommend this hotel as it was good overall and in an ideal location for the Vatican and good restuarants/bars.

Large, clean rooms, near Vatican
Room was larger than expected. I have stayed in other hotels in Rome which were much smaller. (This was quite close to the size rooms I've stayed in at home in US.) Very large, nice bathroom including large tub. Room was exceptionally clean upon
arrival and exceptionally cleaned daily. The buffet breakfast included was excellent. A wide selection of breads, rolls, eggs, bacon, sausage, 2 quiches, cereal, 3 different juices, coffee, cappuccino, expresso etc. We enjoyed the evening restaurant food which was excellently prepared and delicious with added attention to presentation.
The staff at the desk were helpful and courteous. They were helpful with directions through the week. The day before we left I requested a cab to return to the air port. The hotel got us a town car (Mercedes) for the same price. It was an excellent end to our trip.
I was most unhappy to discover that the internet was not included in the room rate even though their website advertised it as included. I complained to the concierge and noted upon return home that their website has been corrected. At the time I booked my trip it was also advertised on their website that a coffee maker was in the room, which there wasn't. (I haven't checked to see if THAT was corrected since then.)

Sightseeing tip:
Short walk from hotel
I was aware that the hotel was closer to the Vatican and thus further from the historical district which was fine. Be prepared to take a long bus ride or hop the metro for a few stops to see the sights. We spent 2 days in the Vatican to completely tour all the museums and St. Peter's Basilica. The Vatican is easily walked to. I do not recommend eating near the Vatican, however. I found close restaurants over priced and the food quality not on par with other places in Rome.

Convenient Local- great Staff
This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Rome- Was 5 minutes walking distance to the bus stop which actually passed by the hotel- 10 minutes to the train station, 15 minutes to the Vatican and other areas as well. The Concierge was
especially friendly at night suggesting great restaurants and even walked us there! Hotel was clean and rooms were spacious. The place to stay while in Rome. I wasn't too happy with the breakfast as it was the typical runny eggs and limpy bacon often served in Europe.

Don't take the Cia Rome hop on/hop off tour bus. The headphones don't work and they have very limited naration on the history of stops. The hotel location is actually close enough to walk to many areas. We hopped off after the 2cd stop and got our money back

Nice hotel
This hotel is very nice, and located in a central location to the Vatican. Walked to the Vatican every day, and on the way there were many places to shop and eat along the main street. There were also many street vendors selling everything you
could think of for reasonable prices. The Metro was only a few blocks away. The hotel staff were very accommodating with finding places to go, tours, maps, etc. Make sure if you state how many people are in your room because you need to have a room with that many beds.

STAFF WAS FANTATIC
THIS WAS A GOOD LOCATION FOR MY HUSBAND AND I. THE STAFF WAS EXCELLENT, HELPFUL UPBEAT. HOWEVER, WITH GROUPS OF TOUR THAT BOOKED THERE STAY AT THE HOTEL , IT BECAME A HERD OF CATTLE DURING BREAKFAST TIME. BLOCKING STEPS, MY HUSBAND FELL DOWN THE
STEPS DUE TO THE LACK OF SUPERVISION. I DID NOT APPRECIATE PAYING FOR THE INTERNET SERVICE AT THE COST OF ROOMS.

A nice stay for hurried travellers
A great staff welcomed us to the hotel, the only issue (not sure who's side was behind schedule) was that the hotel staff did not have my reservation confirmed. Was quickly resolved when the receptionist let me step behind the desk to open my
e-mail to retrieve booking confirmation. The American breakfast was a perfect way to ease into starting the day of trvelling throughout Rome. Location was great, would be happy to stay again.
