Rome experience
Fabrizio and Linda were great hosts, they made us feel like being in a B&B in the middle of the financial district of Rome. They were always there for our needs and questions about the city. The location and value was like having the best of both worlds. We were able to move around Rome with ease as were were within walking distance to many atractions and of the Metro. Via Venneto has so many good restaurants and coffee shops, its was an incredible experience. The hotel was a small residence with the feel of a great hotel, it made our stay a wonderful experience and attention to detail was there at every moment, they even had a small gift fot my Wife's birthday. Thank you Fabrizio.

A Broad Abroad
Convenient, clean, attractive hotel near Spanish steps and Piazza Barberini
Sandwiched between two larger, brighter, doorman-fronted hotels on the same street, Beau Site is easy to miss. It consists of a few small rooms on the second floor of what at first glance looks like a quiet residential building, on the Via Ludovisi, in an area with a lot of luxury hotels and restaurants. You have to be buzzed in from the street, then it's up a few stairs (taking your luggage with you). Not therefore handicap accessible, though after the entrance stairs there is an elevator at the back. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 202, which was a couple of paces from the front desk. People who need a lot of privacy may want a room farther from reception, since sounds were easily heard through the door. The double bed was comfortably firm and supportive, the curtains effective at blocking out the light, and the street didn't sound noisy despite there being a trendy nightclub nearby. The bathroom was tiled in marble, outfitted with a bidet and a radiator/towel-warmer. However, the shower was surprisingly compact. Large persons may have difficulty. There was a desk in the (typical for Europe) tiny room, an ample wardrobe with drawers, a safe, and a radiator where I got to dry out my socks after we got caught out in the rain. The walk from the hotel to the sights of Rome was easy even for two unathletic types such as ourselves. Good restaurants are just around the corner and there's a standard cheerful Italian bar just across the street for coffee or drinks. The hotel also serves a basic breakfast of pastries, packaged yogurts, juice drinks (juice-themed more than juice) and coffee to order. If a chocolate croissant and a cappuccino are all you need to get going, you're in luck. If not, head down via Veneto where you'll find restaurants that understand the American need for protein in the morning. To sum up, this was a well-situated small hotel with friendly good service, reasonably priced, very comfortable for a short stay.

Short walk from hotel
If you're going to Peppone around the corner from the hotel, which the staff recommended for our first night's dinner, I'm warning you that the tripe is very, very tripey but the artichokes are perfect. I wish I'd gone for the oxtail vaccinara. Save room for dessert.

Nice stay at Beau Site
The hotel is among Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Barberini, and Via Veneto, but in a quiet spot away from all. This makes for a bit of a hike to the nearest Metro stop (either Spagna or Barberini), but it isn't excessive. Beau Site only has about 6 rooms and the desk is staffed all of the time, so it isn't hard to get attention. The room was comfortable and offered plenty of space for three. Breakfast was fresh and consisted of typical Italian breakfast fare, and the selection was adequate. The staff members were helpful and all but one or two spoke English well. Some might wish for a more central location, but we would stay at Beau Site again.

little gem
Location, Location, Location. A residential hotel , there are only 4 rooms rented at this place. Our room had a private bath, that was really beautiful. The room wasn't huge, but it was spotless. The morning breakfast was very nice. Not all the staff speaks english. Everyone was very pleasant and nice. Since this litle gem is in the Via Venito area it was a good value at $250 per night, considering it is hard to find a room under $500 per night in that area. It is on a second floor, of a building, part of the Old Ludovisi palace and next door to the Ludovisi Hotel. If you want to stay in Via Venito on a limited budget this is the place for you. Also, You have to be buzzed into the building twice to get to the apartment.

Best spot in Rome
Didn't know much about Rome's layout. But we got a shuttle for $40 from the airport which is by far the way to go. And the driver said our hotel was in the best spot for seeing Rome. Walked to everything. It was great. The hotel was kind of small but the staff was great and the view was unbelievable. We would for sure recommend this hotel and stay there again.
