Crowne Plaza MILAN - MALPENSA AIRPORT

We chose this hotel to stay at the night before an early flight. The restaurant was only average and quite slow but the room was great and the shuttle service quite prompt!

The hotel is in what appears to be a rural setting near the airport and was unimpressive from the outside but once inside is very nice. The shuttle provided is 5 minutes to/ from the airport. Rooms are small but the beds are super comfortable, nicely decorated and furnished. Bathrooms are larger and have good lighting. Would recommend for anyone needing to be near Malpensa...quiet 24 hrs a day

Hotel check in was well. Rooms were really nice and spaceous. The internet was not working while we were there which was not that well. Kinda frusterating. Also, they have satellite television in the rooms but the channels that they have were not what well for a "next" to airport hotel. I can imagine many Americans staying here and there should be two more American TV channels b/c there really isnt anything to do there b/c of its location. Hotel restaurant was a little too fancy. Food was really good though. Again for its isolated location it needs to be a bit more family friendly. Other than that, it was good.

Nice location with shuttle service from / to terminal

Eventhough it is is close to Airport, there are no regular scheduled shuttle between airport & hotel, there are no eateries or shops in vicinity of hotel. In hotel very limited menu, and hotel's restaurant opens at 7.30 pm, late for non Italian guests.Even with Priority membership they charge over $10 for 1 hr of Internet access. Rooms are clean and well furnished.

The only reason to stay at this hotel is its proximity to the Milan Malpensa. It is out in the middle of nowhere--almost creepy in a way. Hotel shares a very convenient shuttle bus with Holiday Inn Express so definitely works for a morning flight. Rooms are small but staff is friendly. They have a restaurant with an okay dinner buffet. Computer wasn't working for us to print boarding passes and they do charge for internet access. Room is small and bath/shower inconvenient shape.

Book this one simply because it's a well known hotelgroup and very closeby the Malpensa Airport. Friendly staff, clean rooms, small sanitairy problem was corrected within minutes. at $150 a night I felt it's a bit overpriced. Don't touch the minibar or TV as the extra's are hugely overpriced. A small coke at 5 euro? one movie at 12 euro. That's insane. Otherwise comfortable hotel at 10 minutes from the airport. the advertised 3 minutes and by the staff 1 minute distance can only be made with a helicopter.

Located outside airport - need shuttle - one unfriendly shuttle driver

Comfortable, clean,and quiet, this hotel is alright for a night layover at Malpensa Airport. For longer stays, better accomodation can easily be found in Milan. Crowne Plaza is located in an airport industrial storage area. Once you are at the Crowne Plaza, you are basically captive because there are absolutely no other establishments in the immediate area. Literally, no other restaurants or anything else for that matter can be found in the vicinity. You are forced to overpay for tiny portions of substandard food and beverage. In all fairness, there is a courtesy shuttle to and from Malpensa provided by Crowne. But, you are required to call and schedule a pick up as there is no regular hourly service. Expect to wait for 30 minutes after scheduling. We had to call twice because the driver did not even stop the first time he pulled through the airport pick up area. He simply kept driving. He subsequently came back after a second phone call to the hotel. He did not even get out of the car to help us with our bags and he drove like an absolute maniac. The check in procedure was completely unorganized.The receptionist had a difficult time making a second room key in addition to being thrown for a loop when I requested to purchase their grossly overpriced internet access. The staff was generally friendly, albeit unprofessional. I seriously doubt I would stay here again, although it is not the worst hotel I've stayed in. Again, for a night layover it works. Other than that, look elsewhere.
