Wonderful facility

The Westbury is one of the best run hotels I have ever stayed in. Everything about the facility is top notch. But the staff is really the key to what makes this such an exceptional place to stay. From the moment we stepped out of our cab till the moment we left, the staff was helpful and knowledgable. They were often able to anticipate our needs. Two small things caused some aggravation, the light switches in the rooms are a bit confusing and may not have been working properly, but the staff helped us out. And, the safe in our room never worked for us. Not a big problem, but a minor frustration. We never pointed it out to the staff as it wasn't a priority for us. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable two night stay on our first visit to Dublin. Thank you.

Perfect location , lovely staff , excellent sleep!

Central and convenient to everything . The staff was Wonderfully accommodating , could not do enough to make us feel comfortable and welcome. The room was silent, air conditioner was quiet and effective, bed was comfortable - slept like babies. Just be sure you actually get a USA king sized bed - other rooms beds looked more like double .

My Five-Star HOME Away from Home

I have stayed at The Westbury every trip to Dublin since 1988 ... and I'll likely never stay anywhere else. Though I haven't been in Dublin since 2006, I was greeted this week with both recognition of and gratitude for my long-lasting custom AND a hug from Eddie, a concierge who's just celebrated his 30th year with The Westbury. That kind of Céad Míle Fáilte(genuine, personal, and appreciative) makes me truly feel like welcomed 'family' at The Westbury and with its staff. Guest Relations Manager Joseph Downing and his staff are professional, attentive to every detail, and (best of all) kind brained; the rooms are elegant and functional (for both a much-needed break and productive work); the location is perfect (also for both play and work). The restaurants and room service offer meals and service as good as any Dublin restaurant. And tea/drinks in The Westbury Lobby (and its view!) beat High Tea at London's Harrod's or Chicago's The Drake any day -- and twice on Sundays! I recommend The Westbury to singles, romantic couples, working professionals, and families alike (I've stayed in all striations) ... and I'm already looking forward to my next stay at The Westbury: Truly my HOME away from home!

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Many of Dublin's museums and public buildings are a short "stretch o'the legs" from The Westbury (literally within five minutes' walk) ... and all are free! Don't miss: The National Gallery (rivals The Louvre for quality of content, sans lines and restrictions); the National Archives and Library (especially for genealogy-ing!); even The Dail is sometimes open to the public. If you're in Dublin for Easter (or on any Sunday): St. Theresa's Carmelite Church (just out The Westbury's back door / just off Grafton Street) houses extraordinary Catholic art and THE best choir in Ireland!

Perfect location

The hotel is located right in city center on graftton street. It is the perfect for sightseeing. There is free wifi in the room. My only complain is about the bed, it's very soft and my back was aching. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you want to be close to all the main attractions.

Very impressive place to stay!

I was impressed from the moment I got out of my taxi, there was someone there to help me to reception with my luggage. Check-in was quick and efficient, I was offered a hot cloth to clean my hands, (unexpected) but felt great! The elevators are clean and swift, with a bench to sit, even though there are only 6 floors. The room was spotless. The bathroom was like a spa with a deep tub and shower with mirrors everywhere, clean sparklingly white towels. There is always soap, lotion, shampoo, body wash, toilet paper, coffee, tea, bottle water, glasses, teacups, saucer, milk and sugar. There are bathrobes and complementary slippers, magazines iron and ironing board. There is also free Wifi, a safe and compatible electrical outlet to charge your phone and use curling iron etc. They turn down your bed in the evening and offers you a tasty chocolate. There is a nice bar, restaurant and a cafe inside the hotel. There is a shopping mall accessible from inside the hotel and lots and lots of shopping within steps from the hotel. The staff are pleasant and helpful. A very enjoyable stay! My only regret is I did not have time to have a bath in that bathtub!

wonderful hotel in the heart of dublin

Immediately impressed with the Westbury. Helpful, welcoming staff. Kept our bags until checkin, but welcomed us with warm towel to freshen up . The location is perfect. ..shops, pubs, attractions all within the Grafton St. area. Always lively and feels safe. Concierge always helpful with directions and recommendations. Room immaculate. Coffee and tea sevice in the room. Turndown sevice in evening with slippers, bottled water and chocolate. Very clean and spacious room. We had a deluxe double.. Will definitely stay here on our next Dublin trip!! to Gallaghers's Boxty house in Temple Bar area for great dinner and go to Hairy Lemon Pub for friendly local pub experience as well. Family owned, good food and conversation with the bartenders. We ate at the bar. Also, walk to Nassau ST. for great shopping nearby....Kilkenny store for Irish goods.
