Staff were extremely helpful. Only downsides were the tiny TV, poor water pressure in the shower and lack of hot water.

One Nighter
Booked for one night after arriving in Dublin by Ferry. Excellent location on edge of Temple Bar with lots of nightlife also handy to many historic places of Interest, City hall, Trinity College etc. Friendly welcome, good facilities in Hotel. Parking was on Street, some down and outs sleeping rough in doorways near Hotel.

Money-saving tip:
Long walk from hotel
Temple Bar is a cultural area for tourists, well worth a walk round on an evening for the street performers, especially liked "Mutefish". Prices are expensive and restaurants crowded, better value outside the Temple Bar area.

The good, the bad, the ugly
First off, the hotel is very clean and in a good location. Staff was friendly and helpful. That being said, I did not sleep the entire 4 nights we stayed here...the walls are thin, a bar sits below the hotel/in the hotel...and it is VERY noisy at night. Try The Central Hotel, which is even closer to major sites and quiet...also it was a bit cheaper.

Find something better.
Bed was clean, but the bathroom was moldy. Staff were disinterested. The Copper Alley Bistro, connected to the hotel was poor.

Temple Bar district is fun for music and dinner, but our best time was in a pub toward bottom of Cow's alley.

Check out Salamanca, the Spanish Tapas restaurant just down the street. Excellent food and wines and generous portions. Actually a full menu, not just tapas available.

Decent value in a great location
The Harding lived up (or down) to our expectations. A nice little hotel in a great location. Our room overlooked the "smoking" area for the hotel bar so it was quite noisy. However, we were expecting that and it didn't bother us. Hotel bar was much livelier than expected.

Great Location in Dublin
The Harding Hotel in Dublin provides a simple but satisfactory room for the money. The room and bathroom are small but adaquate for a room that you will be spending little time in. There was sufficient closet space and room for our three pieces of luggage. We did not know how to turn on the heater and our request for help from the front desk was met with satisfactory results in less than 5 minutes The front desk staff was helpful in providing directions and calling a taxi for a trip to the airport to pick up our car. The breakfast at the ajoining Copper Alley Bistro were fair, continential breakfast was better than the hot choices. The location of this hotel is the real plus a few minutes walk from Temple Bar with great restaurants and a 10 minute walk to downtown Dublin sights. I think this hotel would be good for all ages as there was a lift to the rooms, but stairs needed to climbed to reach the elevator/lift and breakfast area.
