Okay for 1 stay
I attended a convention whilst I was staying at the hotel. The cost of the stay was extremely low which is always great, however the location lets it down. Its probably handy if you're driving but if like me you get the bus then its far from ideal. Liffey Valley Shopping Centre is nearby but there's little else. The waste ground next to the hotel was an eyesore. I can't really speak about the hotel amenities because I didn't use them, although the seating area in reception was quite small and pokey. I spent most of my time either in the convention or out and about in Dublin city. The staff were very nice whenever I had dealings with them.

If you are going to be doing any walking at all, wear runners. Carry your nice shoes in a bag. Like me you may not have planned for the exact distances between bus-stops and venues. You'll save money, time and be hopefully blister free.

Just OK
The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful! But when they say they have Free Wifi throughout the hotel they only mean the main lobby. The beds were hard as a concrete slab. And in our room it looked as if art work had been ripped off the walls and left paint chips missing. There was next to NO hot water at 0300-0400 in the morning- and when getting up early for tours it was a real problem. Cold showers when it's 30 degrees out are NO FUN. The $ saved here isn't worth the distance from town since the bus fair is 4.80 Euro round trip per person. Next trip I'll stay in town and pay the extra!

In town there's a great pub called Madigan's. Their carvery lunch is AMAZING. Skip the over priced breakfast at the hotel and have a 5 Euro full Irish at Flanagan's on O'connell St!

good value for money break
The hotel has an excellent location for people with cars and are travelling, just off m50 on the N4. We stayed in a room with a double and single bed as we had a child with us. Room was clean and quite spacious. We were located on the ground floor which was noisey. The room was not very sound proof as we could hear the people chatting next door. But overall it was comfortabe and good value for money.

Still ticking the boxes
Clarion Liffey Valley has yet to let us down as regards a hotel stay and excellent value for money eventhough charging hotel residents for parking is mean and unnecessary.

Nice hotel well equipped but not well positioned
The hotel was nice although the fat screen tv was broken on arrival but was replaced promptly. The walls must be made of paper as you could hear even the slightest noise in the hallways. The hallway partion door was constantly slamming and i was unable to sleep undustirbed both nights i stayed. I did not use the restaurant or pool so cannot comment on them. The nearest bus stop to dublin centre is a 20 minute walk! then 10 minutes by bus. A taxi is €20. bus €2.40. Overall i really liked the hotel the staff were great and the price was very fair however it was ruined by the ever slamming door in the hallway.

The bus only accepts change no notes. I walked 20 mins to the bus stop to find out when i got there. Ask for a room away from any hallway doors. At least 40 feet away.

Good Overall
It was a nice hotel, the room was well furnished and clean. There was a printer in the lobby which was handy and the staff and concierge were very helpful. I have no complaints other than it's distance from the city center
