Best Western Premier Academy Plaza Hotel sits just off O'Connell Street, at the very heart of Dublin. Outstanding hotel
This is a great hotel in a great location, just off O'Connell and close to many bus lines and the Dublin bus office where you can buy tour tickets. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was spotless and included huge thick towels in the bathroom. That was a nice bonus. Plenty of electrical outlets, flat screen TV and coffee/tea in the room.

Try the Queen of Tarts if you want an awesome scone. Annie's on Henry Street also has a fantastic breakfast and breakfast pasteries, all at very reasonable prices. Jervis mall on Henry Street has a Tesco with a great selection of sandwiches, fruit, etc. Brambles in Jervis mall is a great place for a sweet treat and some tea.

Outstanding hotel
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spotless, and the internet was free and fast. Location is just off O'Connell, which gives you access to many bus lines. The hop on and off bus is just across the street. I'll definitely stay here again and just booked another family member in this hotel.

Hotel is a five minute walk to Henry Street where there are plenty of shops and two malls. Try Annie's on Henry Street and Queen of Tarts on Dame Street for great scones.

Perfect location, friendly staff
I was spent ten days in Dublin in July and found the Best Western Hotel to be perfect launching point to explore the city and comfortable resting point in-between excursions. Upon arrival to Dublin I hopped on the Aircoach shuttle was dropped off within a twenty second walk from the hotel. The rooms were what one expects from a good hotel, Secure, very clean and a comfortable bed. It is the staff which makes the hotel, and this one is exceptional. From my arrival to checkout the staff was very friendly and helpful. I am a pretty low maintenance guest, but when I did have questions or needed assistance the staff went above and beyond their duties to help me. The location of this hotel could not be better. Old Dublin is a pretty small area and almost all of its most recognized sites are within walking distance from this hotel. Trinity College, Grafton & Henry Street shopping areas and Temple Bar are just some of the areas which are an easy stroll. Also there is a tourist center across the street from the hotel which is a good place to get information and book tours. On that note I would highly recommend taking a day trip to the Wicklow Mountains or the Cliffs of Moher. I had a fantastic time in Dublin and great stay at this hotel.

Take advantage of the "early bird specials". Nearly all restaurants from corner café to four star bistros offer these great deals which often include a three course meal for nearly a third of price if ordered later or À la carte. These specials run from 11am to 5-7pm.

Best Western Academy Plaza Hotel, Dublin
Hop-on, hop-off tour bus available across from the entrance to the hotel... Takes you to all the City Centre hot spots... Music, food, people, tours... all superb!!! Can't wait to go again...

Wonderful hotel in a great location
Very convenient location (right by bus stops to the airport). Friendly staff. WiFi available. Rooms were very clean and totally up to date.

Great Deal in Dublin
Overall the hotel was great. The location was AMAZING for the price. Temple bar was just a 5 minute walk. O'connell Street was right around the corner. Free internet in all the rooms was amazing for researching and emails. The hotel was very clean. All major tourist sites are mostly within walking distance. The only thing we did not like was the service at the restaurant even though the food was really good. Actually don't expect good service at most restaurants at most places in Ireland. We were shocked at how rude most workers were being from America where good service is not only the norm but expected.

Temple Bar was only a few blocks away. Great bars though pricey. Try the bar next door to the hotel as well. Much cheaper pints and usually not as crowded.

Best Western Academy Plaza Hotel---Great
My son is going to college in Dublin. This hotel was a great location, near all public transportation, shopping, food and best of all you could walk to all the main tourist areas. The staff let us check in at 8am since out US flight arrived very early. The bar and restaurant were great also.

Good location and reasonable price
It was a quick trip, so location and price were the crucial thing for me. This hotel had both plus super clean room and nice staff.
