Great surrounding and perfect for couples

Located just a little way outside the hustle and bustle of Ubud, I could not have asked for a better laid out resort. The scenery was amazing (particularly the amazing view from the infinity pool) and the atmosphere always felt peaceful and relaxing. The rooms are very spacious and well set out. Loved the outdoor shower. The only two things I would criticise about the room would be the hardness of the bed (took me a couple days to get used to this) and the fairly old fashioned TV (although to be honest I wasn't planning on watching any TV, I would have thought for a five star resort they would invest in some decent flat screens). The only thing I was not happy about was the food. It was distinctly average and pretty overpriced. I would recommend you go into Ubud if possible as there is a wider choice of better food there. Would recommend guests to try out the spa experience, but make sure to ask for a gentle massage as the masseuses have pretty powerful hands! The spa prices were probably a bit overpriced, but you pay for the convenience of being able to walk to your room afterwards rather than fight through the traffic and dust of Ubud.

Make sure to check out the Lotus Cafe to get an amazing view of the Water Palace. Located not far from Ubud Palace on the main road (next to a rather large Starbucks!).

this is a wonderful hotel to stay

this is a wonderful hotel to stay at in ubud. possibly the only gripe is that the massage and spa services offered are of exorbitant prices compared to what is offered elsewhere. while it was not very pleasant that there was ongoing construction in the opposite area during our stay, everything else is lovely. especially love the sight of lush green everywhere and christmas decorations were fabulous! bed was a bit too high to my liking. but breakfast provided was top class and there were a lot of interactions between staff and customers which was lovely.
