The Real Slim Shady
Good value
After exhaustively searching for good value (ie. price vs location vs quality) we landed on Harbour Plaza Metropolis Hotel. Its conveniently located right next to Fortune Metropolis mall and next to Hong Hom train and MTR station, making it easy to get anywhere in HK in minutes, which was important for us. Hotel was clean and well maintained. It did occasionally get very crowded when large groups were checking in or out, but the front desk did its best to keep it orderly and organized. Would come back!

Nice place
We stayed here for 3 nights in the club level and it was a really nice place. The staff was very good and overall a great experience. Club is awesome!

Great location next to a mall but...
.... for international travelers, bring your universal power adapter as the hotel charges if you use theirs. Also the minibar is a bit expensive, guest breakfast though quite large in selection is over $20 American everyday, make roll and juice purchases outside the hotel and keep in the provided refridgerator. And most annoying, WiFi is not free, it is about $18 American a day. The hotel is what I expected from China, efficient, clean, supportive, but the fact everything costs money keeps me from giving them 5 stars.

Next to the hotel and accessible from the lobby is an extensive mall with currency exchanges, ATM`s, supermarkets, shops of all kinds and a food court (which has free 30minutes of wifi a day). I composed my messages and saved to DRAFT then went to the food court and send send send...

Stay on the Executive floor -- worth the small added fee. If business is on the Kowloon side of Hong Kong, this is the spot to stay -- close to trains, boat, airport, quality dining, and sites.

Excellent location
I was here for 4 nights and would say the close proximity to the shopping area in Kowloon is excellent. The Hotel provides a shuttle every 20 minutes to Nathan Road, you can also jump on the MTR station in the HongHom station and have access to the entire rail line. The rooms are nice and clean and many have great view of the waterfront. If your looking for a nice value and great location, I would recommend this hotel.

There is a mall attached to the hotel with a supermarket and 7/11, the rooms have refrigerators, which makes it convenient if you want to keep anything in the refrigerator.

First time in Hong Kong
Great time in Hong Kong. The hotel was great. The only thing I didn't like was that the pool was out of service when I was there and the food at the hotel was really expensive, but there was Fortune Mall connected to the hotel where there is plenty places to eat.. Also a grocery store and a 7-eleven in the mall. I liked that the train station is walking distance from the hotel where there is a Starbucks and a McDonald's. The hotel also provided a shuttle every 10 minutes to from Kowloon hotel where there is a lot shopping. You can even walk a scenic waterfront walk to the downtown location ( It's about 1 mile) from the Hotel. Overall great hotel and location.

I have stayed in this hotel couple of years ago and i was disappointed with their meet and greet. if you upgrade to the Harbor Club beware that although it is good value if it is two of you however broadband connection was terrible and some of the cocktail snacks were not warm enough.

Great business location
Needed 1 night in HK and Harbour Plaza Metropolis was the perfect choice. Very easy walk from Hung Hom station after arriving from Shenzhen. Short taxi ride to Airport Express station made it simple to catch early morning flight. Hotel staff was friendly and efficient. Rooms are well maintained and adequate in size given standard in HK. Many dining options in attached mall. I will definitely be back.
