Not what i thought, but worked out ok
The location of the hotel is well suited to the center of athens, i had a plasant 15 min walk to the main tourist area, However the area itself looks uncared for, and i have to say this did through me the first day,but saying that after a day i was more then happy walking around on my own. The Staff were friendly enough. The Hotel itself, may be small but suited my needs very well, i didnt make it to the resutarnt during my stay as its was only open for a couple of hrs at a time, but seeing as there are lots off food places within walking distance and most are open till very late it wasnt a problem. The rooms are basic (and not like the picture) as i was going on my own, i thought i would treat myself and go for a large (queen) bed. However when i got to the room it turned out to be 2 singles pushed togther. evern with the door to the balcony closed i could still see gaps and it did let a lot of noise in from the street (its a good job i was able to sleep with a fair amount of noise) The TV was basic basic, but i was able to find 3 channels that were in English. The room itself was clean and bright, although there was a hole in the wall were a fixture had been. and one of the doors to the cupboad didnt have a hanlde on it. The Bed itself was rather hard, but again clean, However the pillows were far to hard for my liking (it was more like very dense foam that had no give) and i ended up using the 2nd dovet cover as a pillow. The only other issue i had, when i checked into the room i had two sets of towels, but after the first night i was only left with one set. not a big deal, but i've not stayed anywhere were that has happened before. My overall option of this hotel. If i had stayed in a room like the picture i would have been very happy with my choice, As it was i didnt, and have to say that i do not think this hotel (based on my room) deserved to be at 3 stars, i would say that it is a very good 2 star. yes i would recomened this place to anyone that is happy with the lowwer ratings, i would think about going back here, but in truth i would propably pick a higher quality hotel

Short walk from hotel
Walk upto the street behind the Monastiraki station (come out of the station and turn right, then take the first right, - its inbetween shops) The first set of restuarnts ont the rights hand side (oposite the shops) had THE BEST food, its slightly more expensive but it was worth it, If you walk a little futher down there are more restuarnts, the food there was ok, but i enyojed sitting there with coffee looking out at the acrpolise

Bra läge. Personal som gjorde allt de kunde för att vi skulle vara nöjda.
