Few steps away from the city
You can easily get a cab to the city center, costs only about 10€. Otherwise hotel is quite nice, and delivers what's needed. Lobby bar is nice extra. Check-in might take some time, but luckily you need to do that only once. Very close to the ring road, so perfect solution if you're getting around by rental car (or own).

Pizzeria on the other side of the road (behind some bushes) is awesome and open till 11 PM. 50cm pizza with all the ingredients (except fish) only 19cm. Good to fill up 3 ppl :)

Nice modern hotel. Staff all spoke english and were all very polite and helpful. Most comfortable beds I had ever slept in. Very easy to get around. There is a bus stop across the street and it ends at the U Bahn. I would stay here again.

Buy the Isar Card for the public transportation. You can buy a week or a month and it is goodfor all public transportation for the rings you select. You can buy them fom any train station machine. It will save you a lot of money as public transportation is the best way to get around.

Nice hotel, with friendly and welcoming staff, on the 191 bus line from a busstop near an S-bahn station. Outrageously expensive Fruhstuck (€20 per person!) in a pleasant breakfast room. Few restaurants and other stores nearby.

The NH Munich Neue Messe is a
The NH Munich Neue Messe is a very decent hotel to be chosen by business travellers or tourists. It is not really close to downtown but there is a bus stop directly in front of it and the bus does go to an underground stop. Expect a ride of 30-35 minutes if you want to go downtown (the bus goes every 15 minutes). Service of the staff was excellent.
