Worst Hotel EVER!

My daughter and I thought we'd save money and find a cheaper hotel than the one we usually stay at in Paris. Wrong choice! First off, our room wasn't ready upon our arrival. The woman at the desk said that "It's impossible for it to be ready!" We decided to go out for lunch until 2:30. We come back and we get our room key. my daughter opens the door and it is completely filthy. Beds unmade, towels all over the floor. She goes down to tell the man at the desk only to be called a liar. He did not believe her. So he resorts to come up to the room to witness it. He sees the filthy room and says "This is impossible! Oh wait, two of our maids are out sick today." Obviously it was impossible for our room to be ready. So we were reassigned a different room. Lucky for us it wasn't dirty this time. The hotel itself has great potential. But it will never improve with staff as rude as them. The location is great! But beware that it is located on a busy street and it is very loud. The beds are so noisy as well. Every move you make it creaks. We're not picky at all but this was unacceptable. Especially when they flat-out called my daughter a liar. Breakfast was out of the question when we were rudely pushed out of the restaurant because it was 10am and thats when they close. Spend the extra money to stay where people are going to treat you like guests.

In what world is this a 3-star?

My room was miniscule. The absence of a lamp at the desk made it impossible to do any work there during the evening hours. The mini-fridge, room safe, and air-conditioning did not work; that's right: none of them worked. Twice the power short-circuited, leaving me in the dark. Repeatedly, my key-card failed to open the door, requiring me to go downstairs to have it re-programmed. The hotel offers room-service, but when I requested ice, I was told that I had to go down to the restaurant to pick it up myself. The staff made no effort to make me feel welcome and evinced no concern over the problems I suffered. Oh, and my bedspread had a veal cutlet-sized stain on it. Overall, this was one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. And they have the nerve to advertise a three-star rating. I will say, however, that the man who runs the hotel restaurant was very sweet, and the quality of the room cleaning was beyond reproach.

Excellent site of hotel

Hotel typical for 3 *, number not big, pure. The linen was changed every other day, by towels daily. A hotel mine it is noise behind a window, passing cars early in the morning. We in hotel only spent the night, to us was enough

Stay away from this hotel

Very disappointing hotel. AC not working. Rooms not maintained properly (lamps out of order, noisy beds, wallpaper in tatters, etc.). Cleanliness very doubtful. Supposedly a 3 stars hotel but in my view not less than one star. Stay away from this hotel.

Great location, bad service

The Hotel Pavilion St. Augustine is located a two-minute walk from Gare St. Lazarre Metro stop. It's a great area with lots of shops, restaurants and two Starbucks locations. The hotel itself is very basic but clean and quiet. The staff are rude and not helpful at all but if you can live with that, not a bad deal for the $100 a night we paid for each of two single rooms.

The hotel website says it's on the RER E line from Charles de Gaulle airport but it's not quite like that; you take the E train one stop to Magenta, then switch to the B line to the airport.

This was the absolute worst ...

I never stayed in a worse hotel. We moved after the first night. The "3 person room" had two small single beds up against one another to make room for the very small third bed (roll away!?). I called the hotel weeks before I left on my vacation and told them I wanted three single beds and no roll away bed for our third bed, because we were three adults. They made it clear that I would have three good sized single beds and no roll away bed - so much for integrity. I have too many bad things to say about this place to put it all down. Also, I was travelling with my teenaged granddaughters, and the place was not in a section that I considered safe, especially after dark.

Charming hotel in pretty good location.

All the staff were fantastic!!! Everyone always, ALWAYS no matter if day or night had a smile on their faces. The staff spoke great English and they were really friendly. The hotel is in a very good location next to the gare saint lazare and from there you can go everywhere walking or by metro. It is also pretty close from the hop on and off #1 stop where you take the green line and see all the main Paris sights. The hotel is surrounded by charming Brasseries and you can't go wrong there. In the same street as the hotel there's a very charming little boutique grocery store where you can by yourself some delicious ingredients to have a a wonderful breakfast pick nick at the sight of your choice. The rooms were very clean and we were really pleased with our experience.

To save some money go get your breakfast or snacks in the little charming grocery store in the same street as the hotel. Even the staff there are friendly and we don't speak French.

Pavillon Saint Augustin

We had a very enjoyable stay. However, I would recommend getting new beds. The beds in both rooms I reserved were incredibly obnoxious when someone moved just slightly. Also, it was very warm in the rooms without the windows open, but with them open it was very loud due to the street noise. Other than these two things, the rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable.
