Melia Vendome

This is the second time staying at this hotel. The staff was very pleased, helpful and kind. The breakfast was well done. I did the breakfast when I booked but next time I will. The location was excellent, close to the metro and to cafes and to some of the attractions. The hotel staff was able to arrange some of my excursions for me. They even weighed my luggage for me the night before I left to make sure that it was not overweight. My room was a nice size for my daughter and myself. The bathroom was good size. The toilet was in a separate area in our room and was really small, but I think it is standard for Paris. I just wish that this hotel had a garden. I would stay there again. It is a little pricey Thank you. Paulette.

Our room in this hotel was very spacious (by euro standards) and well appointed. The staff was very courteous, competent, helpful and spoke fluent English (at the front desk). The best aspect, however, was the location. Walk a block and a half South from the front door and you are at the intersection of Rue Cambon and Rue Rivoli. From that point you can see the Musee Lourve several blocks East. The start of the Chance Elysee and the Arch de Triumph can be seen to the West. The Eiffel Tower is Southwest in the distance. The river Seine is two blocks ahead. Several other museums and attractions are located within a couple of blocks. The Concorde Metro station is located at that intersection.

I love Paris in the spring time, and try to visit it every year. Staying in Melia Vendome made everything close and easy. And the staff is kind and really helpful.

Best place to stay on the right bank if you are shopping or hopping between the palace hotels. Most boutique hotels look fine from the lobby but are horrid upstairs. Here, the room and bathroom were decent sized and nicely appointed, although not grand. The biggest drawback was the poor TV channel selection. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and even left a note and small box of candy wishing guests a happy new year. I have stayed in all the high-end hotels in the area for new year's and never once received a note like this. Definitely recommend and will stay here again if the price is right.

Purchased a 5 night hotel stay along with round trip flight from another EU capitol for the price of US $1,200 or so. This hotel charges 15 Euros per day for Internet access in the room, and 28 Euros for breakfast. There's nothing fancy about this hotel, and the daily room cleaning was none too thorough. That said, the location is outstanding - both to high end shopping and the conferences taking place at the Westin one block down the street. All in all - a good value but not a great hotel.
