From the very first glance, visitors are impressed by the facade, showing the kind of chic that will forever be fashionable. One-steps in through a monumental entrance, lined with pink granite columns that are reminders of the hotels opulent beginnings. The lobby is remarkably decorated in purest Napoleon III tradition. It is adorned with mirrors, bronze sculptures, crystal chandeliers and marble columns, also featuring paintings and sculptures specially commissioned from artist Charles Joseph Lameire. The layout is the work of designer Hierro. It successfully blends the buildings original 19th-century style, the Industrial Revolution and a touch of contemporary feel, thus perfectly illustrating the hotels modern yet historical atmosphere.
The hotel boasts 266 spacious, tastefully-decorated guest rooms, each of which exudes an ambiance of sophistication and prestige. The 13 meeting rooms provide the perfect setting for any event, conference or meeting held in central Paris. The hotel also offers dry cleaning, lobby and reception.

Dining
- The Golden Black Bar
- The decor at the Golden Black Bar is one of a kind. It is inspired from early 20th-century Africa and from the 1889 Paris World Fair. Taking you on a journey to heady climes, its animal print, polished brass and luxurious black leather create an atmosphere of world travel and exotic locations. While it is possible to enjoy cocktails whose recipes come from the world over, some creations are exclusively served at the Golden Black Bar.
- The Terminus Cafe
- Taking its name from the original moniker of the hotel, the "Terminus Cafe" is the place to enjoy fine food in beautiful surroundings. The restaurants early 1900s decor is a flashback to the hotels own history. Here you find original, sophisticated and creative cuisine at a reasonable price. A professionally prepared dinner by head chef, Guy Pommelet, makes the hustle and bustle of Paris fade into the background.

Good value if not spending time in the hotel
In general the hotel was good. It is renewed, the lobby is great. But the noise level from adjacent rooms are too high. That means if you have noisy neighbors ( which we had 1 night) you can hear all their moves, even the toilet flushes. Also be careful about bus boys. While we are leaving, he insisted on arranging a taxi for us. He had us waited for a while even tough there are 10 taxis in front of hotel. Later on we recognized that he is looking for a taxi driver from whom he can take some gratitute. At the end, he selected one and he took 5 euros from him in front of us. Not sure taxi driver added that amount to our bill.

good basis for exploring paris
stayed with my son for 3 nights to enjoy Paris. very comfortable hotel. friendly reception staff, all spoke english very well. centrally located, a couple blocks from gallery Lafayette. right next to the Metro stop Gare St. Lazare. lots of great restaurants nearby. asked the Concierge who send us to Bourgogne Sud, where we had an excellent classic French dinner. Probably best entrecote ever and reasonably priced! overall a very nice stay and good experience

Enjoyed The Concord Opéra
Great experience.no problem with the réservation. We travel to Paris frequently and were extremely satisfied . The staff was most helpful Very clean The hotel atmosphere is what we expected: old charm elegance. Perfectly located next to the " Grands Magasins" (Printemps et Galeries LaFayette)' , The Opéra and. walking distance to the Roissy bus , subway station and train station The breakfast buffet was good but overpriced. There are some eateries across the hotel. We will go back there, providing the price does not climb.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
Short walk to direct bus to Roissy . The buses run every 15 mn. to the airport and drop you in front of terminals. , however we would recommand to spend the night at the airport before departure to avoid the delay on the road in the morning.

Good value for the dollar
I was at the hotel for 2 days. This is an old building that has been renovated. Although some things remain kind of old, the overall look is great. The location is very good, a lot of restaurants around. The staff is also very helpful, specially the concierge, which in a city like Paris is quite useful. The room is not big, but this is Europe! but is enough to be quite comfortable. I looked for a lot of options and for the price this is good value. I would stay there again.
