Le Meridien Nice

The hotel is in an excellent location just blocks from Old Nice and restruants. Not exactly what I expected for amenities for a four star hotel. The room had two desk chairs for sitting. The king bed was very comfortable. No clock in the room. Bathrobes would have been nice. Internet is very pricey, but the lobby is above a fast food restruant and with proper location, you can log on for free. Likewise the hotel next door has free internet and I logged on their internet for free. The list price is $350 euro which I would never pay for this hotel. The price for the hotel was considerably less.

Stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. Good situation for getting around Nice. Had a superior room so was a decent size. Good wardrobe space but could do with some drawer space. Good bed and linen changed regularly. Food in hotel good though a bed and breakfast package would be better than room only.

Great Location. Average room is small and poorly decorated. Decor in general is awful. Has become a beach hang out. Roof top restaurant is very good. Personnel are all very cooperative and friendly.

We booked and requested a king bed. Our first room was two single beds. When we asked to change they had no rooms available the first night. When our room was changed it still had two single beds but were made up for a double. The hallway to our room on level 4 had a terrible smell that made you sick everytime you walked past. To use the pool or the beach there was an extra charge and the gym was very average.

Walls of awful violet colour. There is no Internet in a package "all inclusive". But what view from windows!

I almost did not chose this hotel because of the poor reviews, but figured it was only for one night and I generally like this chain of hotels. They must have read their poor reviews re: rude service, because all of our interaction with staff was pleasant. We asked for a wake up call for 6:30am and received a wake up call at 3:00am. The bed was very old and sagged but had great sheets and pillows. The air conditioner in the ceiling by the door was leaking and was dripping onto the carpet. Clearly not just recently, because there were ringed stains. The view from the roof deck by the pool and from the out-door restaurant is AMAZING! It's like being on a cruise ship at sea! With so many restaurants available we chose not to eat at the hotel. Although the staff was welcoming and let us look at a menu without giving any attitude. Overall, I'd say for the price you can do much better in Nice.

The hotel was disappointing from a traditional "expensive" hotel perpsective in that there is no concierge and the entrance is up a flight of escalators. Rooms are very small for a deluxe room and they state that there is internet avaialable on the TV but once you buy a package for TV and internet they advise that the internet no longer works; not acceptable behaviour when you pay this type of cash!

The most horrible Le Meridien we ever stayed in. Very old hotel and not well mantained. Overpriced hotel room, which was extremely small. The staff talk to you like you owe them a favor. Never again!!!!!!!!!!

Ei ole neljän tähden hotelli. Huoneet nuhjuiset, tuoksu vanhaa tupakansavua. Vanhat kokolattiamatot, telkkari ei toimi. Vaatisi kipeästi perusteellisen saneerausremontin. Henkilökunta oli erittäin hyvää, palvelu oli moitteetonta.
